Product description
The aluminium bottle with a black fine mist sprayer is ready-made packaging for cosmetics applied by spraying: facial toners, hydrosols, refreshing body sprays or hair care products. Aluminium does not let light through, so it protects the contents from UV radiation, while being light and unbreakable. With a nominal volume of 100 ml, it is also suitable for travel sizes. The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products, and the declaration of conformity is available with the product.
How the set works
- Plastic fine mist sprayer 24/410 – screws directly onto the neck of a bottle with the same thread and releases a small, constant amount of product with each press. The exact dose per press is given in the parameters.
- Ribbed collar – the grooved edge of the closure gives a better grip when tightening and loosening, which you will appreciate especially with wet hands or when refilling repeatedly.
- Clear overcap – protects the sprayer head from dust and from being pressed accidentally in a bag.
- Aluminium body – does not break when dropped, and the silver surface with the black closure combines well with your own label.
What it is suitable for
The sprayer works best with thin, watery liquids, which it turns into a fine mist. Typical uses include facial and hair toners, hydrosols, thermal and hydrating mists, refreshing body sprays, spray deodorants and make-up setting sprays. Alcohol-based products spray similarly well, but at higher concentrations we recommend checking compatibility with the plastic parts.
Thick serums, gels and emulsions do not belong in this packaging. The mechanism cannot atomise them and the nozzle becomes clogged. With light body or hair oils, the spray is usually coarser than with water-based products and tends to “spit” rather than mist. If you are considering an oil, test how it behaves on a sample before filling an entire batch.
Filling and volume
Nominal volume is the amount the bottle is designed for in normal filling. Brimful capacity, that is the physical volume up to the neck, is slightly larger and you will find it in the parameters. The difference between the two values is a reserve for the dip tube and the body of the sprayer and for the expansion of the contents with temperature changes. For this reason, fill the bottle to the nominal volume, not to the brim. If you fill it up to the neck, part of the contents is pushed out when the sprayer is screwed on and the closure may not seat properly.
If the dip tube of the sprayer reaches further than the bottom of the bottle, shorten it with a diagonal cut before the first filling so that it ends just above the bottom. A diagonal cut prevents the end of the tube from sealing against the bottom, which would stop the sprayer drawing up liquid.
Good to know
Before the first filling, wash the bottle and the sprayer, disinfect them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let them dry completely. After disinfection, spray clean water through the sprayer several times so that no alcohol remains in the mechanism.
For water-based products with a low pH, salt sprays or preparations with a high alcohol content, we recommend a compatibility test on a sample. Fill the packaging, leave it for several weeks at normal temperature and observe the colour, scent and appearance of the contents and the inside of the bottle. The same test applies to the plastic parts of the sprayer for products with a higher proportion of essential oils or solvents.
The set is not intended for contact with food. Do not use it for cooking oils, syrups or other food liquids.
The packaging is suitable for repeated use. Before refilling, wash the bottle, rinse the sprayer with warm water and spray it clean so that no residues of the previous product dry in the tube and nozzle. For disposal, unscrew the sprayer and put it in the plastics bin; the aluminium body belongs with metals.
Other closures from the Handymade range with the same neck type also fit the 24/410 neck finish, and ready-made combinations with this bottle can be found separately in our range. For your own combination, we recommend checking the tightness, dispensing and behaviour of the packaging with your specific formulation.
