Product description
The ready-made set of a brown square dropper bottle with a volume of 90 ml and a white glossy dropper cap is designed for precise drop-by-drop dispensing. Brown glass reduces light penetration to the contents, which helps maintain the stability of light-sensitive substances. The dropper releases the contents drop by drop without pouring and without finger contact. The set is therefore particularly suitable for facial serums, treatment oils and oil blends, blends with essential oils, tinctures and alcohol extracts, and concentrated active preparations that require dispensing small amounts at a time.
The square shape gives the bottle flat walls, which hold a label well and provide a stable stand on a shelf or table. Both the bottle and the dropper are declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products, and the declaration of conformity is available with the product. The set is not intended for contact with food. For homemade oils, syrups or other food-grade uses, we recommend choosing packaging with the relevant certification.
Why choose this combination
- Light protection – brown glass limits light transmission, which benefits vegetable oils, vitamin serums, essential oils and other ingredients that degrade more quickly in light.
- Precise dispensing – the dropper draws the contents into a glass tube and releases it drop by drop, making it easy to apply a small amount of serum or oil to the skin or into the palm.
- Hygienic use – the contents do not touch fingers or the bottle neck during dispensing, which reduces the risk of introducing impurities into the product.
- Glass with no interaction with contents – glass does not react with oils, alcohol or essential oils, making it suitable even for concentrated and aromatic contents that could damage plastic containers over time.
- Clean appearance – the combination of brown glass and a white glossy dropper looks cohesive and suits most labels, from minimalist to colourful.
Nominal and total volume
Nominal volume is the amount for which the bottle is designed for standard filling. Total volume to the rim is the physical volume up to the neck and is always larger. The difference provides a reserve for the dropper, which takes up part of the internal space when closed, and for the expansion of the contents with temperature changes. Fill to the nominal volume, not to the rim. The exact values of both volumes are stated in the product specifications.
When filling to the rim, the glass tube of the dropper will push part of the contents out through the thread and the set will no longer seal properly. Leave free space above the liquid level equal to the difference between the nominal and total volume.
Use in practice
Before first filling, we recommend washing both the bottle and the dropper, rinsing with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and letting them dry completely. This ensures no water remains in the container, which could disrupt anhydrous products or promote microbial growth in aqueous formulations. Once filled, the dropper is screwed onto the neck and tightened by hand.
The dropper consists of a plastic cap, a glass tube and a silicone bulb. The glass and plastic cap handle oily, alcoholic and aqueous contents. The silicone bulb is durable, but with prolonged direct contact with concentrated essential oils or solvents it may soften or change colour over time. We therefore recommend storing and transporting the bottle bottom-down so the contents do not reach the bulb, and checking the dropper's behaviour over time with highly concentrated blends.
Glass is sensitive to sudden temperature changes. Allow hot contents to cool before filling and do not expose the bottle to direct heat sources or sudden cooling after filling with a warm product.
The square shape provides flat surfaces for a label, but the glass has a slight rounding at the edges. Position the label so it does not cross the edge; otherwise it may peel at the corners.
A dropper with the same thread type and other closures for this bottle are available in the Handymade range. When combining the bottle with a different closure, we recommend verifying the seal and dispensing performance with your specific formulation.
Good to know
After thorough washing and disinfection, the set is suitable for repeated use. When changing contents, especially after essential oils, we recommend disassembling the dropper into the bulb, cap and tube, washing each part and letting it dry separately. Aromatic components may partially absorb into the silicone and transfer scent to a new product.
Brown glass protects against light but does not replace a properly formulated product. Aqueous serums require a preservative system regardless of the container, and oils prone to oxidation benefit from the addition of an antioxidant. The container extends stability; it does not create it.
When sorting waste, the glass bottle goes into the glass bin. The dropper is made of plastic, glass and silicone, so we recommend disassembling it before disposal and sorting each part according to its material.
