Arnica flower CO₂-to extract is a highly concentrated natural extract obtained by supercritical carbon dioxide extraction from Arnica montana flowers. This gentle process is carried out without the use of organic solvents and preserves the full spectrum of the plant's active substances, including sesquiterpene lactones, triterpenoid esters (faradiol-, arnidiolesters), small amounts of essential oils, resins and waxes. The product is standardized with organic sunflower oil, which ensures a stable content of active ingredients and easier incorporation into cosmetic formulations. It has a dark brown colour and is liquid to viscous at room temperature with a characteristic vegetal aroma.Supercritical carbon dioxide (CO₂) extraction Standardised content: 4 % sesquiterpene lactonesCarrier: Organic sunflower oil (approx. 70%)

The abbreviation CO₂-to stands for total extract - a complete CO₂ extract that contains the full spectrum of substances from the plant, including volatile components, resins, waxes and other bioactive components. This type of extract is denser, more nutritious and has stronger effects than "selective" extracts.
