Field mint essential oil has a characteristic fresh mint scent with a cooling effect.
Due to its pronounced analgesic and cooling effects, it is a very popular ingredient in toothpastes, gels or mouthwashes. You will also use it in hair care formulations (it also helps to reduce dandruff and lice) and it is also excellent especially for oily skin. Field mint oil was obtained by steam distillation of the leaves and flowering tops of the plant Mentha arvensis L. This was followed by partial removal of menthol in order to prevent crystallisation of the oil. Allergens contained: linalool, limoneneBiochemical specification:50% Menthols [L-menthol content >30%; Total menthols > 50%]30% Menthones 5% Limonene 4% Menthyl acetate 3% Pinenes 2% Pulegones All supplied raw materials are of cosmetic grade, not suitable for internal use. WHAT ARE ESSENTIAL OILS?
Essential oils, also called ethereal oils, are natural aromatic substances that come from various parts of plants – trunks, roots, seeds, flowers, leaves, etc. They give plants their characteristic fragrance and, in addition, they also have healing and protective effects. They act very positively on symptoms on the physical, emotional or mental level.
Their chemical composition is fairly complex. Essential oils are obtained from plants most often by distillation, extraction or pressing. Essential oils are highly concentrated and are used directly on the skin only after dilution with carrier vegetable oils (almond, apricot kernel, jojoba, etc.). The only exception is tea tree essential oil and lavender, which you can apply directly.
Use essential oils for inhalation or in your cosmetic products; we do not recommend the consumption of any essential oils of any brands.
Essential oils are fat-soluble, therefore if you want to use them in products without oils and butters, use a solvent /solubiliser/.
HOW WILL I USE THE ESSENTIAL OIL?
Cosmetics and soap making – the required amount of essential oil depends on the specific recipe and the quantity produced. Inhalation, steaming – drop a few drops of essential oil into an aroma lamp, diffuser, or a container with hot water.Bath – mix the drops of oil in a base oil /coconut, olive.../, in 1 dl of milk or in a teaspoon of honey, and pour this mixture into the bath. Essential oils on their own are not water-soluble, the drops would float on the surface.Massage – add a few drops of essential oil to a cold-pressed vegetable oil (approx. 50 ml) and mix well. Enjoy a pleasant massage.Sauna – you can choose from conifers, rosemary, eucalyptus, sage, mint or citrus fragrances. The number of drops depends on the size of the sauna and your preference.
Essential oils are also commonly used in skin care, local compresses, hair masks, in oral hygiene care...
