Product description

Benzoin resin, also called liquid benzoe or benzoe resin, is classified among essential oils. It is used very often as a fixative for volatile fragrances in cosmetics. It has a wonderful vanilla-like, slightly sweet scent.
Apply it to the skin only diluted in a vegetable oil; it has antiseptic effects and also acts as a sedative, heals wounds and helps close scars.

Liquid benzoe is obtained from a thick resin by dissolving it in alcohol.

The strong, fresh, camphor-like scent of this oil ranks it among one of the most effective essential oils for all respiratory difficulties. It supports concentration and has a beneficial effect also in cases of migraines, purifies the air and helps wound healing. It is one of the basic scents in aromatherapy.

All supplied raw materials are of cosmetic grade, unsuitable for internal use. When handling, use appropriate protective equipment.

WHAT ARE ESSENTIAL OILS?

Essential oils, also called ethereal oils, are natural aromatic substances that come from various parts of plants – stems, roots, seeds, flowers, leaves, etc. They give plants their characteristic scent and, in addition, they also have therapeutic and protective effects. They act very positively on symptoms at the physical, emotional or mental level.

Their chemical composition is fairly complex. Essential oils are obtained from plants most often by distillation, extraction or pressing. Essential oils are highly concentrated and are used directly on the skin only after dilution with carrier vegetable oils (almond, apricot, jojoba, etc.). The only exceptions are tea tree and lavender essential oils, which you can apply directly.

Use essential oils for inhalation or in your cosmetic products; we do not recommend consuming any essential oils of any brands.

Essential oils are fat-soluble, therefore if you want to use them in products without oils and butters, use a solvent /solubilizer/.

HOW DO I USE AN ESSENTIAL OIL?

Cosmetic and soap making – the required amount of essential oil depends on the specific recipe and the quantity produced.
Inhalation, steaming – drip several drops of essential oil into an aroma lamp, diffuser, or into a container with hot water.
Bath – mix the drops of oil in a base oil /coconut, olive.../, in 1 dcl of milk or in a teaspoon of honey, pour this mixture into the bathtub. Essential oils alone are insoluble in water; the drops would float on the surface.
Massage – add several drops of essential oil to cold-pressed vegetable oil (approx. 50 ml) and mix well. Enjoy a pleasant massage.
Sauna – you can choose from conifers, rosemary, eucalyptus, sage, mint or citrus scents. The number of drops depends on the size of the sauna and your taste.

Essential oils are also popularly used in skin care, local compresses, hair masks, in oral hygiene care...
