Blood orange, also called bloody orange (Citrus sinensis), provides an essential oil with a more intense citrus scent than other orange oils. Therefore, it is often used as an ingredient in massage oils and also air fresheners, where it achieves a sweet and stimulating effect. The rich red color is caused by the abundant presence of anthocyanins, beneficial antioxidant pigments, which are rarely contained in citrus fruits.Due to its pronounced antidepressant, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effects, it is used in facial creams and also home cleaning products. All supplied raw materials are of cosmetic grade, unsuitable for internal use. Use appropriate protective equipment when handling.

WHAT ARE ESSENTIAL OILS?
Essential oils, also called ethereal oils, are natural aromatic substances that come from various parts of plants – trunks, roots, seeds, flowers, leaves, etc. They give plants their characteristic scent and, in addition, they also have healing and protective effects. They have a very positive effect on symptoms on the physical, emotional and mental level.
Their chemical composition is relatively complex. Essential oils are obtained from plants most often by distillation, extraction or pressing. Essential oils are highly concentrated and are applied directly to the skin only after dilution with carrier vegetable oils (almond, apricot kernel, jojoba, etc.). The only exceptions are essential oil of tea tree and lavender, which you can apply directly.
Use essential oils for inhalation or in your cosmetic products; we do not recommend the consumption of any essential oils of any brands.
Essential oils are fat-soluble, therefore if you want to use them in products without oils and butters, use a solvent /solubilizer/.
HOW CAN I USE ESSENTIAL OIL?
Making cosmetics and soaps – the required amount of essential oil depends on the specific recipe and the quantity produced. Inhalation, steaming – drip a few drops of essential oil into an aroma lamp, diffuser, or into a container with hot water.Bath – mix the drops of oil in a base oil /coconut, olive.../, in 1 dl of milk or in a teaspoon of honey, then pour this mixture into the bath. Essential oils on their own are insoluble in water, the drops would float on the surface.Massage – add a few drops of essential oil to a cold-pressed vegetable oil (approx. 50 ml) and mix well. Enjoy a pleasant massage.Sauna – you can choose from conifers, rosemary, eucalyptus, sage, mint or citrus scents. The number of drops depends on the size of the sauna and your preference.
Essential oils are also popularly used in skin care, local compresses, hair masks, oral hygiene care...
