Blue Plastic Bottle, White Cap, 200 ml

The blue plastic bottle with a capacity of 200 ml and a white ribbed cap is a ready-made set for filling with liquid and moderately thick cosmetic products. The bottle is made of PET, weighs little and, unlike glass, does not break when dropped, so it withstands everyday handling in the bathroom as well as transport. The cap with a 24/410 neck finish closes the bottle for storage and carrying; the product is dispensed by unscrewing the cap and pouring.

The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics. In addition, the bottle itself has a certificate for direct contact with food, while the cap does not, so the set as a whole is intended for cosmetic products.

What it is suitable for

A volume of 200 ml corresponds to the usual consumption of body and hair products that are used daily and in larger amounts.

• Shampoos and shower gels – liquid surfactant products can be conveniently poured into the palm after unscrewing the cap.
• Body lotions and thin emulsions – a thicker emulsion stays in the neck when poured, so a bottle with a pump is more suitable for creamy textures.
• Hydrosols, toners and facial waters – preserved water-based products that are poured from the bottle into smaller bottles for daily use.
• Massage and body oils – an oil filling in a PET bottle is not a problem. With a higher proportion of essential oils, we recommend checking in advance how the material behaves in your specific formulation.
• Storage bottle – a bottle with a firm closure is also suitable for storing a product in progress or a larger batch from which retail packs are filled.

Filling and volume

Nominal volume is the volume the bottle is designed for in normal filling. The brimful capacity is the physical volume up to the neck and is always somewhat larger. The difference provides a reserve for the closure and for the expansion of the contents, for example with a change of temperature or when the bottle is shaken. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. With a thicker emulsion, it is worth leaving an even larger reserve so that the filling is not pushed into the thread when the cap is screwed on.

Good to know

The cap is made of PP with a seal that sits on the neck and prevents leaking when the bottle is turned upside down. The ribbed surface makes it easier to open, even with wet hands. After each refill, check that the cap is tightened and that no product has been left on the thread. A contaminated seal gradually stops sealing properly.

PET does not tolerate high temperatures. Always fill the bottle only after the product has cooled; a hot emulsion or liquid soap straight after production deforms the plastic. The bottle is not intended for aggressive chemicals.

The bottle can be used repeatedly. Before refilling, wash it with warm water and a cleaning product, rinse it, disinfect it and leave it to dry upside down. After an oil filling, washing takes longer and it is worth rinsing more thoroughly with ethanol.
