Plastic bottle – pharmaceutical bottle with spray nozzle represents a practical and hygienic packaging solution for gentle dosing of liquid preparations in the form of a mist or spray. Thanks to the high-quality plastic material and ergonomic shape, it is suitable for the safe packaging of cosmetic, hygiene and also cleaning formulations, where uniform application to the skin, hair, surfaces or textiles is important. The combination of bottle and spray nozzle enables clean handling without the contents coming into contact with the hands and supports the professional presentation of the final product.
Before the first filling, it is advisable to clean the packaging mechanically, rinse it with clean water and then disinfect it thoroughly. We recommend using alcohol-based disinfectants such as isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, which evaporate quickly and do not leave an undesirable odour. In the Handymade range you will find suitable products such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow the container and spray head to dry completely at room temperature and only then proceed to filling.
The packaging can be reused if strict hygiene rules are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the spray head must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based product, for example with IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely. Repeated use is recommended especially if the new contents are of a similar type to the original formulation, in order to minimise the risk of interactions and residual odour.
Plastic bottles with spray nozzles are not intended to be filled with hot or freshly boiled solutions. High temperatures can lead to gradual deformation of the material and may affect the tightness of the neck and the functionality of the spray head. Fill the contents only after they have cooled down to room temperature and avoid sterilising the packaging by boiling or washing it in a dishwasher. For hygienic preparation of the packaging, chemical disinfection with alcohol is more suitable, as it does not subject the material to thermal stress.
Uneven spraying can be related to the viscosity or composition of the product, as well as to possible impurities in the dip tube or in the spray head. First check whether the tube is kinked or too long and whether the head is firmly tightened. Then carry out a test with clean water – if the spray head works properly, the problem may be a formulation that is too thick or insufficiently filtered. During production, we recommend sieving or filtering blends containing larger particles and always carrying out a test filling to verify functional spraying before serial production.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material type given in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website. First empty the bottle, rinse out any product residues and, according to local sorting rules, place it in the appropriate container for plastics. The spray head should be separated from the bottle; if it contains a combination of different plastics and mechanical parts, follow the recommendations of the local waste collection system. By following these steps, you support responsible recycling and reduce the amount of mixed waste.
To select a suitable bottle, jar or pharmaceutical bottle, we recommend using the advanced filter in the packaging categories. After clicking on the relevant category, the advanced filter is located at the top of the page and allows convenient filtering according to several parameters. Specifically, you can choose the type and diameter of the neck, the size of the packaging, the colour and the material used. By combining these criteria, you will quickly find packaging that meets the technical requirements of your formulation as well as the visual style of your brand.
