The glass jar with dark brown glass and black aluminum lid is a universal container suitable for various types of creamy, gel-based and more solid formulations. Thanks to the high-quality glass and precise closure, it represents a reliable vessel for cosmetic products and concentrated mixtures, where protection of sensitive ingredients from light and external influences is important. The dark glass helps to reduce light penetration to the contents, thereby contributing to the long-term stability and quality of the stored product. The combination of glass and metal closure looks aesthetic, professional and is suitable for handmade as well as professional cosmetics.
The jar can be reused if you follow basic hygiene rules and take into account the nature of your formulations. Before each new filling, the container must be thoroughly emptied, mechanically cleaned and subsequently disinfected with a suitable preparation, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured vegetable. Only after it is completely dry is the jar ready to be refilled. When switching to another type of product (for example from an oily balm to an aqueous gel), we recommend paying extra attention to cleaning and disinfection or choosing a new container.
First mechanically remove residues of the original product (for example using a spatula or paper towels), then wash the jar in warm water with a suitable cleaning agent and rinse thoroughly. After drying, we recommend disinfecting the inner surfaces of the glass and lid with an alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured vegetable. After disinfection, let all parts dry completely on a clean, dust-free surface. Make sure that residues of cleaning agents or water do not accumulate in the thread or under the closure.
Before recycling, empty the container as much as possible and remove any remaining contents. The glass body of the jar belongs in the container designated for glass (usually green or white, depending on local regulations). The aluminum lid usually goes into the container for metals or metal packaging, if such an option is implemented within your sorted waste collection system. Always follow local instructions for waste separation, which may specify whether metal closures are sorted separately or together with plastics and metals in a mixed packaging fraction. If you are not sure, it may be appropriate to use a recycling yard or the official information sources of your town or municipality.
For denser creams and balms it is important to ensure uniform and sufficient filling in order to minimize air bubbles in the product. We recommend filling at a temperature at which the formulation is easy to process, but not too hot, so that the inner side of the lid or the gasket is not unnecessarily stressed. After filling, gently clean the edge of the thread so that no oily or sticky residues remain that could affect the tightness of the closure. For the first product batches, it is appropriate to carry out a stability test and monitor the behavior of the formulation over time under real storage conditions.
The simplest way is to use the extended filter in the packaging categories. After clicking into the selected category (for example bottles, jars or dropper bottles), you will find the extended filter at the top of the page. There you can conveniently filter the containers according to neck type, size, color and material, and thus adapt the selection to the specific requirements of your product and the intended dosing. Thanks to the combination of several parameters, you will more quickly find packaging that best matches your formulation and the intended mode of use.
