The plastic bottle represents a practical and reliable packaging suitable for various types of liquid and slightly viscous preparations in cosmetics and household chemicals. Thanks to its construction, it is ideal for the safe dispensing and storage of products that require clean, stable and robust packaging. The glossy surface creates a professional impression and supports the premium appearance of the final product, while also being suitable for adding your own label or branding.
This packaging is designed to withstand normal handling, transport and storage without the risk of unwanted leakage of the contents. The appropriately selected plastic material provides good barrier protection with standard cosmetic and technical formulations, and the bottle can be easily combined with various types of closures and dispensing systems.
The bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dispensing options (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters in the Handymade offer. The packaging and closure combinations that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – in particular in terms of sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation.
All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the packaging can be reused provided basic hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable agent, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. In this way, you minimise the risk of microbial contamination and maintain the stability of your formulations.
First, mechanically rinse the packaging with lukewarm water and a suitable cleaning agent to remove residues of the previous product. Then rinse the bottle thoroughly with clean water and let it drain. Carry out the final disinfection by applying alcohol (e.g. IPA or ethanol from the Handymade range) to the inner and outer surfaces, and allow any excess liquid to evaporate. Only then is the packaging ready for refilling.
The plastic material used for this type of packaging is not intended to be exposed to high temperatures. Boiling, sterilisation in boiling water or washing in a dishwasher is not recommended, as there is a risk of deformation of the packaging and deterioration of the sealing properties. The recommended method of hygienic maintenance is gentle washing at lower temperatures and disinfection with alcohol.
When choosing, we recommend primarily using packaging and closure combinations that are offered together directly on Handymade – these have been tested in terms of dimensions and functionality. If you decide to combine the packaging and closure separately, always perform your own test: check the sealing when shaking, the behaviour during long-term storage and the material compatibility with your formulation (especially for products with a higher content of alcohol, essential oils or fragrance oils).
To select a suitable bottle, pill bottle or jar, we recommend using the advanced filter in the packaging category. After clicking on the relevant category, you will find the filter at the top of the page, where you can sort products according to parameters such as neck, size, colour and material. This will help you easily find packaging that matches the volume of your product, the method of dispensing and the visual concept of your brand.
If you decide not to use the packaging further, it is recommended to recycle it in accordance with the information given in the product parameters (especially according to the material used and the recycling symbol). Before placing it in the appropriate sorted-waste container, remove any product residues and at least roughly rinse the packaging. By sorting correctly, you help to reduce the amount of waste and ensure that the material from the bottle can be reprocessed.
