Citric acid in foodstuffs, known as E330, is a necessary ingredient for production of bath bombs, and it serves as an irreplaceable household versatile helper as well.

It is also valuable in the production of shampoos, creams, liquid soaps, shower gels, detergents and nail polishes. Citric acid is added into the products in order to balance and maintain pH, and to extend their lifetime. It also cleans and whitens the skin, and has astringent effects.

Citric acid occurs naturally in citrus fruits, raspberries and blackberries. It is a fine white crystalline powder, very soluble in water and alcohol.
