Warning regarding PET material: PET packaging should not be exposed to high temperatures, as deformation may occur. We do not recommend washing the bottle or the spray dispenser in a dishwasher or boiling them – for cleaning and disinfection it is advisable to use gentle procedures at room temperature or slightly elevated temperature.

This product forms a complete combination of bottle and spray dispenser, ready for immediate use with a suitable liquid filling. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).

FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Is this plastic bottle with spray dispenser suitable for hot or freshly boiled solutions?

No, this PET packaging is not suitable for hot or freshly boiled solutions. High temperatures can cause deformation of the bottle or damage to the spray dispenser. It is recommended to fill only cooled or room-temperature products that are compatible with PET plastic and intended for application in the form of a spray.

How should I properly clean and disinfect the bottle for repeated use?

The packaging can be reused if basic hygiene rules are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the spray dispenser must be cleaned, rinsed and subsequently disinfected. Use of a dishwasher or boiling is not recommended, in order to avoid deformation of the PET plastic. For disinfection you can use isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol and Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný, available on Handymade in the raw materials category (you can find them via internal search). After disinfection, allow the packaging to dry thoroughly at room temperature.

Is it possible to use this bottle for products containing essential oils?

The bottle can also be used for blends with a low proportion of essential oils, provided that the formulation is compatible with PET plastic and the spray dispenser. With a high content of essential oils or other volatile oils, we recommend creating a small test batch and monitoring the behaviour of the packaging (changes in colour, softening of the plastic, leakage at the thread). For long-term storage and higher concentrations of essential oils, it is suitable to consider packaging with higher chemical resistance.

How should I properly recycle this packaging if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the bottle with spray dispenser, it is recommended to dispose of it by waste sorting according to the material designation in the product parameters. The PET container itself is usually placed in the plastics container, while the spray dispenser may, according to local rules, be classified either also as plastic or as mixed waste if it contains several types of materials. Before disposal it is advisable to empty the packaging and, if possible, rinse it, in order to minimize any residual product content.

Can I store the bottle in direct sunlight or near sources of heat?

Long-term exposure to direct sunlight, high temperatures or sources of heat is not recommended. PET material can soften or deform at elevated temperature, and the functionality of the spray dispenser and the stability of the product itself may also deteriorate. Ideally, the bottle should be stored in a dry, cooler and shaded place, out of the reach of children and sources of intense heat.
