Product description

CO₂-to Coffee Extract ORGANIC is a pure, aromatic natural extract from roasted Coffea arabica beans, obtained by supercritical carbon dioxide extraction. It has a dark brown colour, oily consistency and a characteristic, intense scent of freshly roasted coffee.

Type of extraction: Supercritical carbon dioxide extraction (CO₂)
Designation: CO₂-to – total extract (complete extract with all aromatic and lipid substances)
D/E ratio: 9–10.5 kg roasted coffee beans per 1 kg of extract

FAQ

What are the main active substances in the coffee CO₂ extract?

Coffee CO₂ extract contains natural caffeine (0.2–0.7 %), polyphenols and aromatic compounds such as methylpyrazines and furfurals. These substances have antioxidant, stimulating and revitalising effects on the skin.

How does coffee extract act in cosmetics?

It has an invigorating effect, supports microcirculation and helps firm the skin. It improves skin tone and elasticity while providing antioxidant protection against free radicals.

What does the designation “CO₂-to” mean?

The designation CO₂-to means total extract – a complete CO₂ extract that contains the full spectrum of substances from the plant, including aromatic, lipid and antioxidant components. This type of extract is more concentrated and biologically more active than “selective” (CO₂-se) extracts, which contain only volatile substances.
