Solid dye is intended exclusively for candles and scented waxes. It is a medium composed of stearic acid, soy wax, coconut wax and a blend of pigments. It can be used in all vegetable waxes that we offer.
The dyes are intermixable with each other - they allow you to create your own shades.
Solid dyes do not migrate in waxes – i.e., the colors will not mix with each other in your candles.
Recommended dosage: 5 – 10 % for coloring, 10 – 15 % for dipping
The amount of dye used depends on the desired color intensity. Rather start with a smaller amount and add slowly.In the event that you add an excessive amount of dye to the candle, the wick may become clogged. Make sure that you have thoroughly dispersed the dye; this will prevent color spots in the candles. When coloring candles with dyes, it is suitable to use a stronger wick.
When handling, use appropriate protective equipment.
