Product description

Frankincense CO₂-se extract ORGANIC is a pure natural extract from the resin of the tree Boswellia carterii, obtained by supercritical carbon dioxide extraction. This gentle method makes it possible to preserve a high content of active substances, including boswellic acids, monoterpenes, sesquiterpenes and diterpenic alcohols (incensol, serratol). The extract is light yellow, clear, liquid and is characterized by a typical balsamic, woody-citrus aroma with a slightly spicy note. It is obtained from organically certified resin originating from trees growing in Somalia and meets the standards of organic quality (BIO, COSMOS, HALAL, KOSHER).

The CO₂ extract also contains heavier molecules, such as boswellic acids and diterpenoid alcohols, which are lost during distillation. Therefore, it has a more pronounced anti-inflammatory and regenerative effect and acts more comprehensively on the skin.

The abbreviation CO₂-se denotes a so‑called selective extract – a selective CO₂ extract obtained by supercritical carbon dioxide extraction.
