Product description

The bergamot essential oil is obtained by cold pressing the outer part of the peel of the fruits of Citrus bergamia Risso and Rutaceae. It has a fresh, sweet, citrusy, slightly fruity, floral scent.

It is suitable for both men and women, has strong stimulating and refreshing effects, and also acts as an antidepressant.
It is an effective antiseptic for skin inflammations (eczema, acne, purulent boils, inflammations), and acts as a remedy for respiratory tract inflammations, urinary tract infections, etc.

The designation FCF means that the essential oil does not contain furanocoumarin and therefore is not photosensitive like common citrus essential oils.

Specification: Bergaptene Free, Furanocoumarin Free

Colour: light yellow, transparent

Contained allergens: Limonene, linalyl acetate, linalool, beta-pinene, gamma-terpinene, myrcene, sabinene, alpha-pinene

All supplied raw materials are of cosmetic grade, not suitable for internal use. Use appropriate protective equipment when handling.

WHAT ARE ESSENTIAL OILS?

Essential oils, or ethereal oils, are natural aromatic substances that come from various parts of plants – stems, roots, seeds, flowers, leaves, etc. They give plants their characteristic fragrance and, in addition, have healing and protective effects. They have a very positive effect on symptoms on the physical, emotional and mental level.

Their chemical composition is fairly complex. Essential oils are obtained from plants most often by distillation, extraction or pressing. Essential oils are highly concentrated and are used directly on the skin only after dilution with carrier vegetable oils (almond, apricot, jojoba, etc.). The only exceptions are tea tree and lavender essential oils, which you can apply directly.

Use essential oils for inhalation or in your cosmetic products, we do not recommend the consumption of any essential oils of any brands.

Essential oils are fat-soluble, therefore if you want to use them in products without oils and butters, use a solvent /solubilizer/.

HOW WILL I USE THE ESSENTIAL OIL?

Cosmetics and soap making – the required amount of essential oil depends on the specific recipe and the quantity produced.
Inhalation, steaming – drip a few drops of essential oil into an aroma lamp, diffuser, or into a container with hot water.
Bath – mix the oil drops in a base oil /coconut, olive.../, in 1 dl of milk or in a teaspoon of honey, pour this mixture into the bathtub. Essential oils alone are not soluble in water, the drops would float on the surface.
Massage – add a few drops of essential oil to a cold-pressed vegetable oil (approx. 50 ml) and mix well. Enjoy a pleasant massage.
Sauna – you can choose from conifers, rosemary, eucalyptus, sage, mint or citrus scents. The number of drops depends on the size of the sauna and your preference.

Essential oils are also popularly used in skin care, local compresses, hair masks, in oral hygiene care...
