Myrrh is a natural aromatic resin similar to sap that comes from the thorny tree Commiphora myrrha, a relative of the frankincense tree. Myrrh originates from Egypt and is still commonly used in Africa and the Middle East to this day. In the past, the scent of myrrh was used in funeral rites and ceremonies with religious significance. In aromatherapy, it helps with respiratory tract problems, offering relief from colds, coughs, bronchitis and mucus congestion (myrrh oil is a common component in the treatment of asthma, colds and lung congestion). Simply inhaling the scent of myrrh has sedative effects, stabilizes emotions, reduces negative mood and supports a feeling of grounding.Myrrh oil is used in cosmetics as a powerful antioxidant that maintains skin health, facilitates the fading of unwanted spots, alleviates unpleasant sensations on the skin such as itching and symptoms of eczema and various other skin conditions. It also addresses scalp problems – it acts on dry hair and skin, thereby preventing dandruff formation, and it also strengthens hair roots, so it works excellently against hair loss. It is used in massage as an astringent agent that strengthens muscles, smooths the skin, cleans pores by increasing perspiration, and its anti-inflammatory properties prevent the accumulation of bodily toxins such as salt, excess water and harmful gases in the musculoskeletal system. All supplied raw materials are of cosmetic grade, not suitable for internal use. Use appropriate protective equipment when handling.

WHAT ARE ESSENTIAL OILS?
Essential oils, also called ethereal oils, are natural aromatic substances that come from various parts of plants – trunks, roots, seeds, flowers, leaves, etc. They give plants their characteristic fragrance and, in addition, they also have therapeutic and protective effects. They act very positively on symptoms on the physical, emotional and mental levels.
Their chemical composition is fairly complex. Essential oils are obtained from plants most often by distillation, extraction or pressing. Essential oils are highly concentrated and are applied directly to the skin only after dilution with carrier plant oils (almond, apricot kernel, jojoba, etc.). The only exception is tea tree and lavender essential oil, which you can apply directly.
Use essential oils for inhalation or in your cosmetic products; we do not recommend the consumption of any essential oils of any brands.
Essential oils are fat-soluble, therefore if you want to use them in products that do not contain oils and butters, use a solvent /solubilizer/.
HOW DO I USE ESSENTIAL OIL?
Cosmetics and soap making – the required amount of essential oil depends on the specific recipe and the quantity being produced. Inhalation, steaming – drip a few drops of essential oil into an aroma lamp, diffuser or a container with hot water.Bath – mix the drops of oil in a base oil /coconut, olive.../, in 1 dl of milk or in a teaspoon of honey and pour this mixture into the bathtub. Essential oils on their own are insoluble in water, the drops would float on the surface.Massage – add a few drops of essential oil to a cold-pressed plant oil (approx. 50 ml) and mix well. Enjoy a pleasant massage.Sauna – you can choose from conifers, rosemary, eucalyptus, sage, mint or citrus fragrances. The number of drops depends on the size of the sauna and your taste.
Essential oils are also popularly used in skin care, local compresses, hair masks, oral hygiene care...
