The essential oil of bergamot is obtained by cold pressing the outer part of the peel of the fruits of Citrus bergamia Risso and Rutaceae. It has a light to dark yellow coloration and a fresh, sweet citrus, slightly fruity, floral scent.
It is suitable for both men and women, has strong stimulating and refreshing effects, and also acts as an antidepressant. It is an effective antiseptic for skin inflammations (eczema, acne, purulent ulcers, inflammations), and acts as a remedy for respiratory tract inflammations, urinary tract infections, etc.

WHAT ARE ESSENTIAL OILS?
Essential oils, also called ethereal oils, are natural aromatic substances that come from various parts of plants – stems, roots, seeds, flowers, leaves, etc. They give plants their characteristic fragrance and, in addition, they also have therapeutic and protective effects. They have a very positive effect on symptoms on the physical, emotional and mental level.
Their chemical composition is fairly complex. Essential oils are obtained from plants most often by distillation, extraction or pressing. Essential oils are highly concentrated and are used directly on the skin only after dilution with carrier vegetable oils (almond, apricot kernel, jojoba, etc.). The only exceptions are the essential oil of tea tree and lavender, which you can apply directly.
Use essential oils for inhalation or in your cosmetic products; we do not recommend consuming any essential oils of any brands.
Essential oils are fat-soluble, so if you want to use them in products without oils and butters, use a solvent /solubiliser/.
HOW DO I USE AN ESSENTIAL OIL?
Production of cosmetics and soaps – the required amount of essential oil depends on the specific formula and the quantity produced. Inhalation, steaming – drip a few drops of essential oil into an aroma lamp, diffuser, or into a container with hot water.Bath – mix the drops of oil in a base oil /coconut, olive.../, in 1 dl of milk or in a teaspoon of honey, pour this mixture into the bathtub. Essential oils on their own are not soluble in water, the drops would float on the surface.Massage – add a few drops of essential oil to cold-pressed vegetable oil (approx. 50 ml) and mix well. Enjoy a pleasant massage.Sauna – you can choose from conifers, rosemary, eucalyptus, sage, mint or citrus scents. The number of drops depends on the size of the sauna and your taste.
Essential oils are also popular for use in skin care, local compresses, hair masks, oral hygiene care...
