The fresh, citrusy, slightly sweet scent of grapefruit essential oil has a refreshing effect, acts against fatigue and depression. It is added to preparations intended for oily skin, it helps to fight acne and cellulite. It is also popular in hair preparations for oily hair. It gently tones the skin.

Grapefruit essential oil is produced by mechanical pressing of the outer peel of the fruit Citrus Paradisi Macf.
The main components of grapefruit oil are linalool, thujene, myrcene, terpinene, pinene, citronellol, caprinaldehyde, decyl acetate and neryl acetate.

Method of production: pressing

All supplied raw materials are of cosmetic grade, not suitable for internal use. When handling, use appropriate protective equipment.

WHAT ARE ESSENTIAL OILS?

Essential oils, also called ethereal oils, are natural aromatic substances that come from various parts of plants – trunks, roots, seeds, flowers, leaves, etc. They give plants their characteristic scent and, in addition, they also have healing and protective effects. They have a very positive effect on symptoms on the physical, emotional and mental level.

Their chemical composition is fairly complex. Essential oils are obtained from plants most often by distillation, extraction or pressing. Essential oils are highly concentrated and are used directly on the skin only after dilution with carrier vegetable oils (almond, apricot, jojoba, etc.). The only exceptions are tea tree and lavender essential oils, which you can apply directly.

Use essential oils for inhalation or in your cosmetic products; we do not recommend the consumption of any essential oils of any brands.

Essential oils are fat-soluble, therefore if you want to use them in products without oils and butters, use a solvent /solubilizer/.

HOW WILL I USE ESSENTIAL OIL?

Cosmetics and soap making – the required amount of essential oil depends on the specific recipe and the quantity produced.
Inhalation, steaming – drip a few drops of essential oil into an aroma lamp, diffuser, or into a container with hot water.
Bath – mix the drops of oil in a base oil /coconut, olive.../, in 1 dl of milk or in a teaspoon of honey, pour this mixture into the bathtub. Pure essential oils are insoluble in water, the drops would float on the surface.
Massage – add a few drops of essential oil to cold-pressed vegetable oil (approx. 50 ml) and mix well. A pleasant massage.
Sauna – you can choose from conifers, rosemary, eucalyptus, sage, mint or citrus scents. The number of drops depends on the size of the sauna and your taste.

Essential oils are also gladly used in skin care, local compresses, hair masks, in oral hygiene care...
