Product description

The essential oil of narrow-leaved lavender, also called medical (true) lavender, is one of the most versatile and at the same time most commonly used essential oils, suitable for adults and children. It has a sweet, spicy, slightly floral lavender scent.

It is obtained from the flowers of the plant Lavandula angustifolia L. in combination with other lavender varieties. The ester content is maintained at 40 - 42 % thanks to linalyl acetate.

Lavender essential oil helps with mental fatigue, and has a calming effect on the whole organism. It relieves pain in muscles and cramps, lowers blood pressure and also has a positive effect in cases of migraine. It is also used for menstrual disorders, insomnia, as a disinfectant, for insect bites, etc. It is very effective in fighting yeast infections – candidiasis – caused by the yeast Candida albicans.

All supplied raw materials are of cosmetic grade, not suitable for internal use. Use appropriate protective equipment when handling.

WHAT ARE ESSENTIAL OILS?

Essential oils, also called ethereal oils, are natural aromatic substances that come from different parts of plants – stems, roots, seeds, flowers, leaves, etc. They give plants their characteristic scent and, in addition, have healing and protective effects. They have a very positive effect on symptoms on the physical, emotional and mental level.

Their chemical composition is relatively complex. The essences are obtained from plants most often by distillation, extraction or pressing. Essential oils are highly concentrated and are applied directly to the skin only after dilution with carrier vegetable oils (almond, apricot kernel, jojoba, etc.). The only exceptions are tea tree and lavender essential oils, which you can apply directly.

Use essential oils for inhalation or in your cosmetic products; we do not recommend consuming any essential oils of any brands.

Essential oils are fat-soluble, therefore if you want to use them in products without oils and butters, use a solvent /solubilizer/.

HOW CAN I USE ESSENTIAL OIL?

Cosmetics and soap making – the required amount of essential oil depends on the specific formula and the quantity produced.
Inhalation, steaming – drip a few drops of essential oil into an aroma lamp, diffuser, or into a container with hot water.
Bath – mix the drops of oil in a base oil /coconut, olive.../, in 1 dl of milk or in a teaspoon of honey, and pour this mixture into the bathtub. Essential oils on their own are not soluble in water; the drops would float on the surface.
Massage – add a few drops of essential oil to a cold-pressed vegetable oil (approx. 50 ml) and mix well. Enjoy a pleasant massage.
Sauna – you can choose from conifers, rosemary, eucalyptus, sage, mint or citrus scents. The number of drops depends on the size of the sauna and your preference.

Essential oils are also popular for use in skin care, local compresses, hair masks, oral hygiene care...
