The essential oil from Wintergreen (Gaultheria procumbens) is among the most distinctive aromatic oils, with a rich history of use in the traditional medicine of North America. It is obtained from the leaves of the plant by steam distillation, producing an oil with a high content of methyl salicylate – a compound known for its analgesic and anti‑inflammatory effects. This oil is especially popular in massage products and balms, where it helps relax muscles and joints and induce a feeling of relaxation.

Can I use it directly on the skin?Essential oils are in most cases diluted. For sensitive skin or children, it is necessary to use a very low dosage according to IFRA recommendations.
