Solid dye is intended exclusively for candles and wax melts. It is a medium composed of stearic acid, soy wax, coconut wax and a blend of pigments. It can be used in all vegetable waxes that we offer.
The dyes are intermixable - they allow you to create your own shades.
Solid dyes in waxes do not migrate – i.e. the colours will not mix with each other in your candles.
Recommended dosage: 5 – 10 % for colouring, 10 – 15 % for dipping
The amount of dye used depends on the desired colour intensity. Rather start with a smaller amount and add slowly.If you add an excessive amount of dye to the candle, the wick may become clogged. Make sure you have thoroughly dispersed the dye; this will prevent colour spots in the candles. When colouring candles with dyes, it is appropriate to use a stronger wick.
Use suitable protective equipment during handling.
