Amber Glass Bottle, Silver White Spray, 100 ml

The amber glass medicine bottle with a capacity of 100 ml and a white and silver fine mist sprayer is intended for liquid cosmetic preparations that are applied by spraying. The dark glass reduces exposure to light, so the set is suitable for face and hair toners, hydrosols, refreshing sprays, fragrance blends with essential oils or perfume waters. The sprayer breaks the contents into fine droplets and dispenses them evenly, and the contents do not spill or come into contact with your hands during use.

Both the bottle and the sprayer are declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products. The glass bottle on its own also has a certificate for direct food contact, but the set with the sprayer as a whole is intended for cosmetics.

What the set is suitable for

• Toners and hydrosols – water-based preparations with low viscosity pass through the dip tube and the nozzle without difficulty.
• Sprays with essential oils – room fragrance blends, textile sprays or refreshing body sprays. Glass does not absorb fragrance, so after washing the bottle can be used for a different blend.
• Perfume waters and alcohol-based preparations – the sprayer dispenses an alcohol base in a fine mist, which corresponds to the usual way of applying perfume waters and deodorant sprays.
• Light hair sprays – conditioning sprays or shine sprays without thick ingredients that would clog the nozzle.

Filling and headspace

The nominal volume is the volume for which the bottle is intended in normal filling. The brimful capacity given in the parameters is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference between the two leaves room for the dip tube and the sprayer mechanism and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. For this reason, fill the bottle up to the nominal volume, not to the brim, otherwise the contents will be pushed out through the neck when you close it and the sprayer will be harder to tighten.

The sprayer dip tube reaches down to the bottom of the bottle, so almost all of the contents can be used. After screwing the sprayer on, press it several times to prime it until the tube fills and the mist starts to come out evenly.

Good to know

• Thin contents – the nozzle is designed for liquids with low viscosity. With thicker serums, pure vegetable oils or emulsions, dispensing becomes worse and the nozzle may clog, so we recommend testing the behaviour on a small sample.
• Glass and heat – let hot infusions or warmed blends cool to room temperature before filling. A sudden change in temperature can damage the glass.
• Recycling – the glass bottle belongs in glass recycling, while the sprayer combines plastic and aluminium and should be separated from the bottle before disposal.
