Yes, the packaging can be reused if handled appropriately. For each refilling, however, it is necessary to follow basic hygiene principles – thoroughly clean the bottle and the spray pump, rinse them and then disinfect them with a suitable product. For disinfection we recommend using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after it is completely dry is the bottle ready for refilling.

The packaging is ideal for liquid, low-viscosity formulations that are to be applied in the form of a fine spray. In practice, this concerns mainly facial and body toners, hair tonics, aromatic and refreshing sprays, disinfectant solutions for personal use and other water-based or hydroalcoholic mixtures intended for external use. For thicker emulsions or oils it is advisable to test before filling whether the spray pattern is as desired and sufficiently even.

Before first use and before each refilling, we recommend rinsing the bottle with a suitable cleaning solution, rinsing thoroughly with clean water and allowing it to dry. It is then appropriate to disinfect the inside of the bottle and the parts of the spray pump that come into contact with the product using an alcohol solution, for example with the product IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After the alcohol has completely evaporated and the packaging has dried, it is ready for refilling.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material types listed in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle can typically be sorted into the glass container, while the plastic spray pump is usually sorted separately into plastic waste. Before disposal it is advisable to empty the packaging and remove any product residues. Before filling the entire batch we recommend producing a smaller test batch and verifying the compatibility of the product with the bottle and the spray pump. Focus on sealing (whether it leaks around the neck), functionality of the spray pump (fineness and range of the spray, smoothness of dosing), as well as on the behavior of the material in contact with the formulation over time (change of odour, colour or consistency). It is also advisable to simulate normal use – repeated opening, transport and storage – so that you can be sure that the packaging will function reliably for the end customer as well.
