FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Is this glass bottle with spray pump also suitable for more viscous liquids?

The spray pump is optimized primarily for low-viscosity to medium-fluid preparations where a fine spray dispersion is needed (toners, hydrolats, aqueous solutions, light serums). With thicker emulsions or gels, spraying may be less even or restricted. Therefore, before launching for sale, we recommend testing the real behaviour of your particular formulation in the packaging and verifying whether the system provides the required type of dosing.

Can I use this bottle repeatedly for different products?

The glass packaging can be safely reused if proper hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to thoroughly clean and disinfect the bottle and all parts of the spray pump. For disinfection we recommend using, for example, isopropyl alcohol or ethanol available in the Handymade range, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow all components to dry thoroughly in a clean place to minimize the risk of microbial contamination during further use.

How should I correctly dispose of or recycle this packaging if I do not want to use it further?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in an environmentally friendly way according to the material composition specified in the product parameters. The glass bottle can generally be placed, after cleaning off product residues, in the container designated for glass. The plastic and metal parts of the spray pump must be separated and you should follow the local rules for sorting plastics and metals. Before placing the packaging in sorted waste, always empty it and remove any coarse product residues so that the recycling process is as efficient as possible.

What should I pay attention to when filling and storing products in this bottle?

When filling, it is important to work in the cleanest environment possible, use a suitable funnel or dosing technique and avoid the product running down the outer side of the neck, which can impair sealing. Fill the contents only up to the level recommended in the product parameters so that there is sufficient space for air and correct functioning of the spray pump. Store finished products at the recommended temperature and out of direct sunlight, in accordance with the requirements of your particular formulation and the information given in the Packaging Quality Certificate.
