The glass bottle, glossy black, matte silver dropper, 10 ml combines an opaque black glass medicine bottle with a dropper into a ready-made set for small volumes. Opaque black glass protects the contents from light from the moment of filling to the last drop. The dropper dispenses drop by drop, which suits the 10 ml volume wherever only a few drops are applied at a time.

The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics. It suits facial serums, concentrated oil serums, blends of essential oils in a carrier oil, cuticle oil, eyelash and eyebrow serum, or samples that you want to give customers to try in a smaller pack. The glass bottle on its own has a certificate for direct contact with food; the set with the dropper as a whole is intended for cosmetics.

How the set works

The dropper screws directly onto the neck of the bottle. It consists of a matte silver ring with a thread, a white squeeze bulb and a glass tube that reaches into the contents. Squeezing and releasing draws a dose into the tube, which you then squeeze out drop by drop onto the skin or into your palm.

Opaque glass does not show how much of the contents remains in the bottle. When drawing up a dose, however, you can see the amount in the dropper tube, which is enough to estimate when the pack is nearly finished. The length of the dropper matches the height of the bottle, so the contents can be used up almost to the bottom.

Volume and filling

The nominal volume of 10 ml is the volume the bottle is designed for in normal filling. The total brimful volume stated in the parameters is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference forms a reserve for the glass tube of the dropper, which takes up part of the space once screwed in. Fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim.

The neck of the bottle has a standard thread type; closures with the same neck type and ready-made combinations are available in the Handymade range. For your own combination, we recommend checking the tightness and behaviour of the closure with the specific formulation.

Good to know

Before the first filling, the bottle and the dropper are washed, disinfected with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and left to dry completely. Otherwise, residual water in the glass tube would get into an anhydrous serum or oil.

The set can be used repeatedly. After emptying, simply wash both parts, disinfect them and let them dry. When changing the contents to a different type of product, we recommend rinsing the dropper with ethanol so that fragrances and oils are not carried over. The glass bottle belongs in glass recycling; the dropper combines several materials, so separate it from the bottle for recycling.
