Combining with closures and dispensers

This packaging is supplied as a combination of bottle and dropper, thanks to which it is immediately ready for filling and use with products requiring drop-by-drop dosing. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).

FAQ – Most frequently asked questions

How can I properly clean this bottle before reusing it?

The packaging can be reused if hygienic principles are observed. Before each new filling, we recommend thoroughly washing the bottle with a suitable washing agent, rinsing it with clean water and then disinfecting it. For disinfection it is ideal to use isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after it is completely dry is it appropriate to fill the bottle again.

Is this bottle suitable for more viscous oils or only for thin liquids?

The bottle with dropper is primarily suitable for thin to medium-viscosity liquids for which drop-by-drop dosing is required. More viscous oils or gel textures may drip more slowly, so it is always advisable to test the behaviour of the specific formulation so that you can be sure that the dosing is smooth and comfortable for the end user.

Can I use this pharmaceutical bottle also for products intended for internal use?

Use for products intended for internal use depends on whether the specific packaging and closure have declared food suitability in the product parameters and in the attached certificate. We recommend always checking the parameter table for the product and following the information given by the packaging manufacturer. If food suitability is not explicitly stated, we recommend using the packaging exclusively for cosmetic and technical preparations.

How can I safely dispose of or recycle the packaging if I do not want to reuse it?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material composition given in the product parameters. The glass bottle can usually be handed in for glass collection after removing any remaining contents. The closure, pipette or other plastic or rubber parts should, if possible, be separated according to the type of material. You can find details in the parameter table and in the manufacturer’s recommendations, or follow local waste-sorting rules.
