Blue Glass Bottle, Glossy Silver White Dropper, 100 ml

The ready-made set of a blue glass bottle with a volume of 100 ml and a silver glossy dropper is designed for filling and dispensing liquid cosmetic products. Key benefits

• Protection of contents from light – blue glass reduces part of the light radiation and slows down the degradation of oxidation-sensitive components, such as unsaturated vegetable oils, vitamins or essential oils. It does not replace complete darkness, so store the product away from direct sunlight.

How the set works

The dropper consists of a glass tube, a soft squeeze bulb and a threaded collar with a glossy silver surface. The collar screws onto the bottle neck just like a regular cap and seals it at the same time. When dispensing, the bulb is pressed, the tube is immersed in the contents and upon release draws up the liquid. The length of the dropper is adapted to the height of the bottle, so it reaches near the bottom and the contents can be drawn out even at a lower level.

The dropper is suitable for liquid and low-viscosity contents: oils, oil serums, aqueous and hydrolat tonics without thickener, alcohol solutions and tinctures. Thick serums with a higher proportion of gelling agents are drawn into the tube slowly or not at all; a pump dispenser is more suitable for such textures.

Nominal and total volume

Packaging distinguishes between nominal volume and total volume to the brim. Nominal volume is the volume the bottle is designed for during normal filling, and this value governs both filling and labelling. Total volume to the brim is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference between them forms a reserve for the dropper tube, which when screwed in pushes some liquid upward, and for expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim; otherwise the contents will overflow when the dropper is attached. Both values are listed in the product parameters.

Suitable for products such as

• Facial and body oils – blue glass protects unsaturated oils from light, the dropper dispenses a few drops onto the palm.
• Oil serums with active ingredients – dissolved coenzyme Q10, tocopherol, bakuchiol and similar components sensitive to light and oxidation.
• Oil blends with essential oils – massage and aromatherapy blends, beard, nail and hair-end oils.
• Alcohol solutions and tinctures – glass does not react with ethanol, the dropper allows precise dosing into creams, tonics or baths.
• Aqueous and hydrolat tonics without thickener – for example facial water applied to a cotton pad drop by drop. Aqueous products require appropriate preservation.

Good to know

• The dropper is not a hermetic transport closure. The soft bulb responds to changes in pressure and temperature and when inverted or in heat, some of the contents may enter the bulb. Transport shipments upright and do not fill the bottle above the nominal volume.
• Residual contents in the bulb. If liquid is drawn up into the squeeze bulb, in the case of oils and essential oils the material may soften or change colour over time. Only press the bulb enough to fill the tube.
• Glass and heat. The bottle can withstand normal temperatures when filling a cooled blend, but sudden temperature changes – for example, filling hot contents into cold glass – can cause cracking. Allow oil blends to cool before filling.
• The glossy silver dropper collar pairs well with both black and white label graphics.
• Food contact. The set is intended for cosmetic products. It is not declared for food use and is therefore not suitable for household oils, syrups or herbal infusions for consumption.
• Recycling. After emptying and rinsing, the glass bottle goes into glass waste. The dropper combines multiple materials and should therefore be sorted separately from the bottle according to the rules in your region.
