Blue Glass Bottle, Glossy Gold White Spray, 100 ml

Facial tonics, hydrosol mists and hair or body sprays need packaging that disperses the contents evenly while also protecting them from light. This ready-made set combines a blue glass bottle in a pharmacy bottle shape with a nominal volume of 100 ml and a plastic spray pump in a glossy white-gold finish. Blue glass reduces light exposure, which gradually degrades hydrosols, extracts and fragrance components. The glossy spray pump gives the bottle a finished look, making it suitable for gift or retail packaging, not just a home workshop.

The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products. It is not intended for contact with food.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the volume for which the packaging is intended under normal filling. Total brim volume is the physical volume of the bottle up to the neck. The difference between them provides a reserve for the dip tube and the pump body, and for slight expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. Overfilling would cause some of the contents to be forced out when the spray pump is screwed on and the thread would seal poorly.

• Facial tonics and hydrosol mists – thin aqueous formulations are most suitable for this type of spray pump, producing a fine, even mist.
• Hair sprays and leave-in care – light aqueous or water-alcohol products for refreshing and detangling hair.
• Body and room fragrance sprays – alcohol bases do not damage either the glass or the polypropylene spray pump.
• Hand cleansing and disinfection solutions – water-alcohol solutions with low viscosity.
• Eau de toilette and eau de parfum – the white-gold appearance of the spray pump suits fragrance products in gift packaging.

Good to know

The spray pump is designed for thin contents. Thick serums, gels, emulsions or heavier vegetable oils will not pass through the mechanism, or it will dispense unevenly and clog. With thin oil blends or products with a higher proportion of essential oils, we recommend testing the spray pump's behaviour on a small amount and monitoring whether the dispensing changes after a few days.

Before the first and every subsequent filling, wash and disinfect the set to avoid transferring residues of the previous contents into the fresh product. A detailed procedure can be found in the questions below.

Glass does not tolerate sudden temperature changes. Do not pour hot contents into a cold bottle and do not leave the filled set in direct sunlight or frost.

Do not disassemble the spray pump during use. Shorten the dip tube only if it bends against the bottom when the pump is screwed on.

The glass bottle and the plastic and aluminium spray pump are recyclable. Before disposal, disassemble the set and empty it.
