Product description

Glass bottle with sprayer, blue, 100 ml is a ready-made combination of a blue glass bottle and a black plastic sprayer, ready for filling liquid cosmetic preparations applied as a spray. Blue glass reduces light transmission, helping to protect light-sensitive contents such as hydrosols, tonics or preparations with essential oils. The sprayer dispenses contents in small doses, making it easier to apply evenly to the skin, body or hair without hand contact with the contents.

The set is particularly suitable for facial and hair mists, tonics, hydrosols, refreshing body sprays, alcohol-based solutions and other thin liquids with a nominal volume of 100 ml. Both the bottle and the sprayer are declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products and the set as a whole is intended for cosmetics.

Why choose this combination

  • Light protection – blue glass transmits less light than clear glass, which slows down unwanted changes in light-sensitive contents. It does not replace preservation or antioxidants in the formulation, however.
  • Hygienic dispensing – contents are applied by pressing the sprayer, not by pouring or finger contact, which reduces the introduction of impurities into the product during use.
  • Glass without interaction with contents – glass does not react with alcohol or acidic environments, making it suitable for tonics with lower pH and alcohol-based solutions.
  • Tube reaching the bottom – the suction tube of the sprayer reaches the bottom of the bottle, so the contents can be used up almost entirely.
  • Reusable – the glass bottle can be refilled after washing and disinfection; the sprayer just needs to be rinsed and left to dry.

What preparations is the set suitable for

The sprayer is designed for thin liquids. It performs best with hydrosols, facial and hair tonics, thermal and mineral sprays, refreshing body mists, alcohol-based solutions and perfumed waters with low viscosity.

Thick oils, emulsions and gels cannot be evenly dispersed by the sprayer and risk clogging it or causing the contents to run down. Lighter oil blends should be tested in advance. If they do not spray well, a bottle with a pump or dropper is a better choice.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the volume the container is designed for under standard filling conditions. Total brim-full volume is the physical volume of the bottle up to the neck. The difference between them provides clearance for the sprayer's dip tube and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. The bottle is therefore filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. An overfilled container will overflow when the sprayer is attached, and temperature changes may push the contents out through the seal.

When filling, account for the volume displaced by the suction tube. Fill the bottle to no more than the nominal volume and attach the sprayer slowly to prevent contents from spilling through the neck.

What is good to know when working with the container

Before the first fill, we recommend washing the bottle, rinsing it with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol and allowing it to dry completely. The sprayer just needs to be pumped several times with clean water or alcohol and left to dry with the tube facing down.

The plastic sprayer is made of polypropylene, which handles common cosmetic liquids and alcohol well. For formulations with a higher proportion of essential oils or solvents, we recommend checking in advance whether the material softens over time and whether the scent of the contents changes. The tightness of the assembly, dosing and sprayer behaviour with a specific formulation should always be tested on one unit before larger production runs.

Blue glass reduces light but does not block it completely. Even in this container, preparations sensitive to light and heat are better stored away from direct sunlight.

After filling and closing, turn the bottle upside down for a few minutes on a paper towel. If no moisture appears, the thread seals and the set is ready for labelling and shipping.

When recycling, glass and the plastic sprayer are sorted separately, so unscrew the sprayer from the bottle before disposal.

Frequently asked questions

Does the blue glass bottle with sprayer protect the contents from light?
Yes, blue glass transmits less light than clear glass and slows down changes in light-sensitive contents. It is not a complete barrier, so hydrosols, extracts and preparations with essential oils should be stored away from direct sunlight and the formulation should be properly preserved. Blue glass does not change the scent or composition of the contents.
Can oil be used in this bottle with a sprayer?
Thin oils can be sprayed only to a limited extent; thick oils cannot. The sprayer is designed for low-viscosity liquids such as hydrosols, tonics and alcohol-based solutions. Oil blends can clog the mechanism or run down it, so we recommend testing the specific oil in advance and, if problems arise, choosing a bottle with a pump or dropper.
How much liquid fits in the 100 ml spray bottle?
The bottle is intended to be filled to a nominal volume of 100 ml. The total volume to the brim is slightly larger and serves as a reserve for the sprayer's suction tube and for expansion of the contents with temperature changes. If you fill the container to the neck, the contents will overflow when the sprayer is attached.
Is the blue bottle with sprayer suitable for alcohol-based tonics and spray deodorants?
Yes, glass tolerates alcohol without changes and the polypropylene sprayer is compatible with common alcohol-based solutions. With a high proportion of essential oils or solvents, we recommend checking whether the plastic parts change properties over time and whether the scent of the contents changes. For acidic tonics with lower pH, a glass container is a suitable choice.
How is the bottle with sprayer cleaned before reuse?
Wash the bottle with warm water and detergent, rinse with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol and allow to dry. Pump the sprayer several times with clean water or alcohol until clean liquid comes out, then leave to dry with the tube facing down. When there is a significant change of contents, for example from perfumed water to a hydrosol, it is safer to replace the sprayer with a new one.
Why does a new sprayer not spray immediately after being attached?
The suction tube and mechanism are initially empty and need to fill with contents. A few presses over the sink are enough, after which the sprayer dispenses regularly. The same behaviour may occur after a long period of disuse, when some of the liquid has flowed back from the tube into the bottle.
