The glass bottle made of high-quality packaging glass is a universal container suitable for various types of liquid and partially viscous preparations in cosmetics and other segments. The dark coloured glass helps reduce light penetration to the sensitive components of formulations, thereby supporting the stability, shelf life and protection of active ingredients. Thanks to the durable material, this bottle is ideal for packaging smaller doses of products where precise and hygienic dispensing is required.
The individual glass bottle is compatible with various types of closures and dispensing methods, such as screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators – according to the parameters selected for the product. The combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Before the first filling, we recommend rinsing the bottle thoroughly, letting it dry and then disinfecting it with a suitable alcohol-based preparation. For disinfection you can use isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example products available on Handymade in the form of 99 % IPA or 96 % plant-based ethanol. After applying the alcohol, allow the packaging to dry completely so that no liquid residues remain inside, which could affect the stability of your formulation.
Yes, the glass bottle is suitable for repeated use if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to clean the packaging thoroughly, rinse it and then disinfect it, for example using isopropyl alcohol (IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol 1 l) or plant-based ethanol (Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based 1 l). Only after the complete drying of the inner surface of the packaging do we recommend refilling the bottle, in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination and undesirable changes in the consistency or fragrance of the product.
If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend recycling it according to the material type specified in the product parameters. As a rule, the glass container can, after being emptied, having any product residues removed and any plastic or metal parts separated, be disposed of in a container intended for glass. Closures and dispensing components made of other materials should be sorted separately according to local waste-sorting rules. Such a procedure reduces environmental impact and allows the used packaging to be processed again.
The glass bottle is ideal especially for concentrated cosmetic products, such as facial and oil serums, highly effective active concentrates, essential oils, perfume oils and aromatherapeutic blends. Thanks to the durable packaging glass, it is also suitable for formulas with a higher content of active ingredients or fragrance components, which require a good barrier against external influences. For any atypical or more aggressive formulations, however, we recommend carrying out a compatibility test of the packaging with the specific product in advance.
The quickest way to a suitable packaging is to use the extended filter in the packaging material category. After clicking on the relevant category, you will find the filter at the top of the page, where you can easily select parameters such as neck type, size, colour or packaging material. By combining these filters, you quickly narrow down the selection to bottles, jars, pots or vials that best suit the specific product, the type of dispensing and the visual style of your brand.
