The green glass bottle with a white-gold dropper represents an elegant solution for packaging cosmetic and medicinal liquids where precise and hygienic application of the product is important. Thanks to the practical dropper, it enables controlled drop-by-drop dosing, which is ideal for concentrated serums, oils and various active blends. The darker-tinted glass helps reduce light penetration, thereby supporting the stability of sensitive components and extending the usability of the contents.
Glass bottles of this type are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters in the packaging category. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – verify reliable sealing, uniform dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (viscosity, pH, alcohol content or oil phase). When selecting additional components, you can use filtering in the relevant packaging categories and thus adapt the resulting set to the planned use and brand design.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters. When planning the final formulation, we recommend comparing the data from the certificate with the character of the raw materials used (alcohol content, acidity, oil or water base) in order to ensure long-term stability of the product in the glass vial.
For easier selection of packaging we recommend using the advanced filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. In the filter you can combine several criteria at once – especially the neck type and size, the overall size of the packaging, colour and material. Thanks to this, you will quickly display only those bottles, vials or jars that meet your design and functionality requirements.
The glass packaging can be reused if hygienic principles are observed, which is advantageous in terms of sustainability as well as cost. Before each new filling, however, the bottle and dropper must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable agent, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose, you can use products available in our range – IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured vegetable. Only after the packaging has completely dried and aired is it suitable to proceed with filling with a new formulation.
The glass dropper bottle proves most effective for product formulations where drop-by-drop dosing and smaller volumes are desired. These are mainly facial and eye serums, concentrated oil blends, treatment cures for nails, tonics for hair and scalp, aromatherapeutic compositions and fragrance oils. Thanks to the regulated flow, it is also suitable for test samples of new recipes where you need to monitor the exact amount of product applied.
Before first filling, we recommend visually checking the glass bottle, rinsing it if necessary with a suitable cleaning agent and clean water, and then allowing it to dry completely. For a more professional approach, it is suitable after washing to disinfect the inner surface and the components of the dropper with an alcoholic solution, for example using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured vegetable. After disinfection it is necessary to allow the packaging to air sufficiently in order to remove residual alcohol and moisture, and only then proceed to filling with the final product.
If you decide not to use the bottle further, it is appropriate to place it into sorted collection according to the type of material indicated in the product parameters. The glass part, after emptying and basic rinsing, is usually placed in the container designated for packaging glass. The dropper and any plastic or rubber components must be separated and disposed of according to recommendations for the given material. The recycling symbol and more detailed information can be found with the product in the parameter table – we recommend checking these so that the method of disposal is in accordance with local waste sorting rules.
For thicker or highly oily formulations it is important to verify the behaviour of the product when dosing through the dropper. We recommend filling a smaller test batch and trying whether dripping proceeds smoothly, without clogging and without excessive running down the neck. Also take into account any volatile substances or higher alcohol content, which may affect sealing of the dropper. As part of product development it is therefore suitable to perform several test cycles – storage, repeated opening and closing, handling and transport – so that you can be sure that the chosen combination of bottle, dropper and formulation is reliable.
