Product description

Glass bottle, blue, white-and-gold dropper, 50 ml is a ready-made set for dispensing liquid cosmetics drop by drop. It combines a blue glass bottle with a 50 ml capacity and a dropper with a white squeeze bulb and a gold cap sleeve. Blue glass lets through less light than clear glass, which you will appreciate especially with facial serums, oil blends and tinctures, where light accelerates oxidation and the loss of efficacy of sensitive ingredients.

The dropper lets you take exactly as much as you need, without the remaining contents coming into contact with your fingers or air. The set is therefore suitable for products applied in small amounts: serum with active ingredients, facial oil, cuticle oil, beard oil, herbal tincture or bath concentrate. The 50 ml volume is practical for home production in smaller batches as well as a retail format for smaller brands.

Why choose this set

  • Light protection – blue glass lets through less light than clear glass, which helps slow down the oxidation of oils and active ingredients and extends the time during which the product retains its scent, colour and efficacy. It is not complete protection; do not leave the bottle in direct sunlight for extended periods.
  • Drop-by-drop dispensing – the glass tube of the dropper reaches almost to the bottom of the bottle, so the contents can be used up with minimal waste. One squeeze of the bulb draws a few drops, which is enough for a single treatment of the face or beard.
  • Hygienic dispensing – the contents are not poured out and do not come into contact with the skin, which reduces the risk of contamination. This is an advantage with anhydrous oil-based products that are typically not preserved.
  • Chemically resistant glass – glass does not react with essential oils, alcohol or vegetable oils, does not absorb scents and leaves no aftertaste from previous contents. It is therefore also suitable for repeated use.
  • Coordinated look – the combination of blue, white and gold looks clean and suits facial cosmetics where the presentation of the product or gift also matters.

What the set is suitable for

The bottle with dropper is designed for liquid products with low to medium viscosity that are dispensed drop by drop:

  • facial serums on both water and oil base,
  • facial and body oils, beard oils and cuticle oils,
  • blends of carrier oils with essential oils,
  • herbal tinctures and alcohol extracts for external use,
  • concentrated active solutions for adding to creams and masks.

The set is not suitable for thick gels, creams or products containing particles that could clog the dropper tube. It is also not suitable for products applied in larger quantities (body lotions, shampoos) where drop-by-drop dispensing is impractical.

The bottle and dropper are declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products. The set is not intended for contact with food.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume is the quantity the container is designed for under normal filling conditions. The total volume to the brim is the physical volume of the bottle up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference provides a reserve for the dropper, which takes up some space once screwed in, and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. Therefore, fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim. If overfilled, inserting the dropper tube will push some of the contents through the neck, or the dropper bulb will not press down properly.

When filling, leave space below the neck for the dropper tube. After screwing on the cap, turn the bottle upside down over a paper towel and check that the closure is airtight.

Useful to know

Preparation before first use. Before use, wash the bottle and dropper with warm water and a small amount of cleaning agent, rinse thoroughly and disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. Allow to dry completely before filling. Residual water could degrade an anhydrous oil-based product or cause cloudiness.

Repeated use. The glass can be washed and reused without concern about residual scents. For the dropper, pay attention to the silicone bulb and tube: after use with alcohol or essential oil content, rinse them and allow to dry. If the bulb hardens over time or no longer maintains suction, replace only the dropper — the bottle continues to serve.

Glass and heat. Do not pour hot mixtures into the bottle and do not expose it to sudden temperature changes, as the glass may crack. Allow oil phases to cool to approximately room temperature before filling.

Dropper and essential oils. The glass tube does not react with essential oils. Prolonged contact of highly concentrated essential oils with the silicone bulb may affect its flexibility over time; at typical dilutions in a carrier oil this is not an issue.

Labelling. The cylindrical shape of the bottle allows a label to be applied all the way around or only on the front side. Apply the label to dry, degreased glass.

Closures and combinations. The bottle has a standard neck as stated in the specifications, so other closures with the same neck type from the Handymade range will also fit, and you will find it in other ready-made combinations as well. For a custom combination, we recommend checking the seal and the container behaviour with the specific formulation.

Recycling. The bottle is made of glass and belongs in the glass waste. The dropper combines several materials (glass, plastic, aluminium, silicone), so separate it from the bottle before disposal.

Do not use the set for food, dietary supplements or edible oils. It is declared only for contact with cosmetic products.

Frequently asked questions

How much liquid fits in the 50 ml glass bottle with dropper?
The bottle is designed to be filled to the nominal volume of 50 ml. The total volume to the brim is slightly larger, but this space serves as a reserve for the dropper tube and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. If you fill the bottle to the brim, some of the contents will leak through the neck when the dropper is screwed in, or the bulb will not press down properly.
Is the blue glass bottle with dropper suitable for an oil serum?
Yes, the dropper with glass tube is very well suited for oil serums. Glass does not react with vegetable or essential oils, and drop-by-drop dispensing allows you to take exactly the required amount without contact with your fingers. Blue glass also lets through less light, slowing down the oxidation of oils. Oils with low to medium viscosity are suitable.
Can the glass bottle with dropper be reused?
Yes, after washing and disinfecting you can reuse both the glass bottle and the dropper. Wash the bottle with warm water and a cleaning agent, disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. For the dropper, rinse through the tube and check that the silicone bulb still maintains suction and draws up liquid. If it no longer does, replacing just the dropper is enough.
Can I fill the blue glass bottle with dropper with an alcohol tincture?
Yes, glass is resistant to alcohol and the dropper with glass tube will not be damaged by it. Blue glass also protects plant tinctures from light, which accelerates the breakdown of pigments and active substances. However, the set is intended for cosmetic use only, not for tinctures intended for internal consumption.
Is the glass bottle with dropper also suitable for food-grade oils or syrups?
No, this set is not approved for contact with food, so do not use it for edible oils, syrups or dietary supplements. The bottle and dropper are declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products, that is, for serums, facial oils and tinctures intended for external use.
