Glass bottle, clear, silver dropper, 15 ml is a ready-to-use set for precise drop-by-drop dispensing. The clear glass bottle and the shiny silver dropper with matching threads fit together, so there is no need to search for a separate cap. The set is designed for cosmetics: it is suitable for facial serums, oil blends for face and beard, diluted essential oil blends, nail and cuticle oils, or small quantities of active concentrates applied drop by drop.

Clear glass shows the contents and their colour. This is an advantage for retail, samples and gift sets, or when you need to see at a glance how much product remains. Glass is also chemically inert, does not absorb fragrances or dyes, and will not discolour from oils. The 15 ml volume makes the set a practical size for test batches, travel packaging and higher-value concentrated products that are used up before they can deteriorate.

What the set is suitable for

• Facial and hair serums – water-based and oil-based serums applied a few drops at a time; the dropper dispenses without finger contact with the contents.
• Oil blends – oils for face, beard, nails and cuticles, massage concentrates for dilution.

Filling and dispensing

The bottle has a nominal volume, meaning the volume for which the container is designed under normal filling conditions, and a total volume to the brim, meaning the physical capacity up to the neck. The difference between them is not a defect but a safety margin. When the dropper is screwed in, the glass tube occupies part of the space, the contents need room to expand with temperature changes, and an air gap must remain for suction. The bottle is therefore filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. Overfilling leads to spillage when closing and a sticky thread.

The dropper consists of a glass tube, a threaded cap with a shiny silver collar and a silicone bulb. Squeezing the bulb draws up the contents; releasing it dispenses individual drops. The size of each drop depends on the viscosity and surface tension of the contents: water-based serums form smaller drops than thicker oils, and thick gels are difficult to dispense with a dropper.

Good to know

Clear glass does not protect the contents from light. For products sensitive to UV radiation and oxidation, such as oils with a high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids, vitamin C or retinoids, amber or blue glass is more suitable, or storage in a cardboard box away from direct sunlight should be planned. For stable contents and fast-moving products, clear glass is a fully adequate choice.

Before the first fill, wash and disinfect both the bottle and the dropper with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. Residual water in an oil-based product promotes microbial growth and cloudiness. Glass cannot withstand thermal shock: do not pour a hot phase directly into a cold bottle; allow it to cool to at least a lukewarm temperature first.

The silicone bulb and plastic parts of the dropper are resistant to common cosmetic oils and aqueous solutions. With undiluted essential oils, higher alcohol concentrations or solvents, the silicone may soften or swell with prolonged contact. Check compatibility on a single unit before larger-scale filling.

The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetics. It is not approved for contact with food, so it is not suitable for food-grade oils, tinctures for internal use or syrups. After washing, the bottle is suitable for reuse. When recycling, glass belongs in the glass stream. The dropper is a combination of glass, plastic, aluminium and silicone, so separate it from the bottle and sort it according to local guidelines.
