Product description

A small container for everything dispensed drop by drop: a clear glass bottle with a nominal volume of 15 ml and a matching white glossy dropper form a complete set for facial serums, oil blends, active ingredient concentrates, diluted essential oils or tinctures. Thanks to the small volume, it is also suitable for samples, test batches and products that are consumed slowly and should not sit open for months.

Clear glass lets the contents stand out, so the colour of the oil or serum is visible. At the same time, however, it does not provide protection from light, which must be taken into account when choosing the contents. The dropper consists of a white glossy cap, a soft bulb and a glass tube reaching to the bottom of the bottle, so even the last drop can be drawn up. The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products.

What the set offers

  • Precise dosing – the dropper draws a few drops without spilling and without finger contact with the contents, which is an advantage with concentrated serums and oils where only a small amount is used.
  • Glass without odour or interactions – the glass bottle and the glass tube of the dropper do not absorb fragrances or dyes and are compatible with oil-based, water-based and alcohol-based contents.
  • Visible contents – the transparent material reveals clear serums, coloured oils or macerates and makes it easy to check how much product remains.
  • Matching cap – the dropper fits the bottle neck, so there is no need to search for and test a separate cap.
  • Reusable packaging – the glass can be washed, disinfected and refilled; the dropper continues to serve after cleaning.

Which products it is suitable for

Best suited for leave-on products with low viscosity: facial and hair serums, dry oils, nail and cuticle oil concentrates, hair-end blends, herbal macerates in small packaging. It works well for diluted essential oils for diffusers or for samples of fragrance compositions, where a volume of 15 ml is appropriate. For thick creams, gels or emulsions with higher viscosity the dropper is not suitable – the contents will not draw up into the tube.

For light-sensitive contents (oils rich in unsaturated fatty acids, vitamin C, certain extracts) clear glass is a compromise, because it does not protect from light. We recommend storing such products in a box or in the dark, or opting for a dark glass bottle with the same neck type.

Filling and volume

The bottle has a nominal volume of 15 ml – that is the amount it is designed for during standard filling. The total volume to the brim (stated in the parameters) is slightly larger, as it includes the space in the neck. The difference is not a defect: it is a reserve for the glass tube of the dropper, which displaces some volume when screwed in, and for the expansion of the contents with temperature change. Fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim; an overfilled bottle will overflow onto the thread when the dropper is attached.

When filling oils and serums, leave a few millimetres of headspace below the neck and screw on the dropper only after wiping the neck clean. The thread will stay clean and the cap will seal as intended.

What is good to know

Before first use, it is advisable to wash and disinfect both the bottle and the glass tube of the dropper with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. Residual water would introduce moisture and the risk of microbial growth into an anhydrous oil or serum. The same procedure applies when refilling; the dropper bulb is harder to clean than glass, so replace it when changing the contents.

The glass tube withstands essential oils and alcohol-based solutions. The bulb and cap are made of plastic and silicone, which may soften over time when exposed to a high proportion of essential oils or solvents. For such contents, we recommend verifying the behaviour of the dropper with the specific formulation.

Glass does not tolerate sudden temperature changes. Pour in contents that have cooled to room temperature, not directly after heating the oil phase, and do not place the bottle from a cold environment into hot water.

A straight cylindrical label area is available on the bottle. At end of life, the glass bottle belongs in sorted glass recycling; the dropper is made of multiple materials and is sorted separately. Additional caps with the same neck type and ready-made bottle and cap combinations are available in the Handymade range; for custom combinations, we recommend verifying the seal and dosing.

Frequently asked questions

Does a clear glass bottle with a dropper protect the contents from light?
No, clear glass transmits light and does not protect the contents from it. It is therefore suitable for products that are not sensitive to light, or for those that are stored in a box or in the dark. For oils prone to oxidation and serums with vitamin C, a dark glass bottle with the same neck type and a dropper is the safer choice.
How much can really fit in a 15 ml bottle?
It is filled to the nominal volume of 15 ml, not to the brim. The total volume to the neck is slightly larger, but this space is taken up by the dropper tube and serves as a reserve for temperature changes. If you fill the bottle right to the brim, the contents will overflow onto the thread when the dropper is screwed on.
Is a glass bottle with a dropper suitable for essential oils?
Yes, with a reservation for the bulb. The glass of the bottle and the dropper tube are resistant to essential oils. The silicone bulb and plastic cap may soften over time when exposed to pure essential oils, so the set is better suited for diluted blends or oil serums. For pure essential oils, we recommend testing the dropper's behaviour in advance.
Can a glass bottle with a dropper be used repeatedly?
Yes, both the bottle and the dropper can be washed and refilled. The glass simply needs to be washed, disinfected with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and left to dry. The dropper tube is cleaned the same way; it is sensible to replace the bulb when changing the contents, as residues of the previous product are harder to remove from it.
Is a dropper suitable for thick serums or gels?
No, a dropper works reliably only with liquid contents of low viscosity. Oils, water-based and alcohol-based serums or tinctures draw up without any problem; thick gels, emulsions and creams will not enter the tube or will not drip out of it. For such products, a pump bottle or a jar is more suitable.
Can a glass bottle with a dropper be used for food?
No, the set is intended for cosmetic products. The glass bottle and the dropper are declared suitable for contact with cosmetics; this set does not have food-grade certification. For home oils or syrups, choose packaging that has food suitability stated in the parameters.
