Clear Glass Bottle, White Nasal Spray, 15 ml

A ready-made set of a transparent 15 ml glass bottle and a white nasal spray type dispenser with an 18/410 thread is designed for preparations applied in small doses. With each press, the dispenser releases a very small amount of liquid as a fine mist from a narrow nozzle. It is therefore suitable wherever you need to apply a thin water-based or alcohol-based preparation precisely and repeatedly to a small area. The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products; declarations of conformity are provided for the individual components.

Its small volume makes it a practical format for samples, travel packs and test batches that are used up quickly and in small doses.

Key features

Nominal and total volume

The bottle has a nominal volume of 15 ml. This is the volume the container is intended for under normal filling and the one stated on the label. The total volume to the brim is the physical volume up to the neck and is slightly larger; you will find the exact value in the parameters. The difference provides a reserve for the tube and body of the dispenser, which push part of the contents upwards once screwed on, and for the expansion of the liquid when the temperature changes. It should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, never to the brim. An overfilled bottle overflows once the dispenser is fitted and the contents get into the thread.

Filling and working with the dispenser

The bottle is made of glass, so before the first filling we recommend washing it, disinfecting it with isopropanol or ethanol and letting it dry completely. It is enough to rinse the dispenser with clean water or diluted ethanol and let it drip dry. It is not recommended to boil it or dry it with hot air, as the plastic parts and spring could be damaged.

After filling, the dispenser is screwed on by hand all the way, without excessive force. Before first use it needs to be pressed several times until the tube and pump fill with liquid; the first doses tend to be weaker or empty, which is normal. The dispenser works best with the bottle held upright; when spraying bottom-up it draws in air.

Suitable for products such as

The dispenser sprays thin, water-based or alcohol-based liquids with a viscosity close to that of water. It proves useful with:

• hydrosols and toners – a light refreshment for the face or scalp in a small dose,
• water-based serums and active solutions – precise application to small spots where a larger sprayer would dispense too much,
• alcohol-based preparations – disinfecting and refreshing sprays for the hands or skin, eaux de parfum in a travel format,
• samples and test batches – the small volume is advantageous when verifying a new formulation or offering samples to customers.

Thick serums, gels and emulsions with higher viscosity will not pass through the narrow nozzle or will come out in drops instead of a mist. Oils and oil serums can be dispensed, but the mist is coarser and the nozzle clogs more quickly. For these a dropper or a regular dispenser is more suitable.

Good to know

Clear glass does not protect the contents from light. Keep preparations with sensitive ingredients, for example with vitamin C, certain plant extracts or essential oils, out of direct sunlight, or choose dark glass for them. With water-based preparations the small volume is an advantage, because it is used up quickly. Even so, we recommend adequate preservation, because the nozzle is in contact with the skin and surroundings with every use.

The set is also intended for repeated use; when changing the contents, wash and disinfect the bottle and rinse the dispenser. When recycling, separate the glass and the plastic dispenser, as they belong to different collection streams.
