The glass bottle is generally a very stable packaging for formulations containing alcohol and essential oils. However, we recommend always carrying out your own stability and functionality test of the spray pump with the specific composition – verify the smoothness of dosing, sealing and any changes in scent or colour over time. It is advisable to fill a smaller trial amount and monitor the behaviour of the product under standard storage conditions.

The packaging can be reused provided proper hygiene practices are followed. Before first filling and with each subsequent use, the bottle and spray pump must be carefully cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable disinfectant, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow the packaging to dry thoroughly so that moisture does not accumulate and microbiological risks do not arise.

Uneven spraying may be caused by too high or, on the contrary, too low viscosity of the product, or by the presence of fine solid particles in the formulation. We recommend checking whether the dip tube is correctly inserted and not bent or clogged. For thicker products, it may be necessary to adjust the formula (by dilution or by changing ingredients). If you are working with liquids containing pigments or insoluble particles, it is advisable to filter them before filling in order to prevent clogging of the mechanism.

We recommend storing filled bottles in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat, at a stable room temperature. It is important to always close the spray pump tightly in order to minimise the evaporation of volatile components and access of air humidity. For sensitive formulations (e.g. with a high content of natural oils or active substances), it is advisable to continuously monitor changes in scent, colour or consistency and, in case of deviations, to check the formula and the recommended storage conditions of the raw materials used.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend emptying it as much as possible and rinsing out the remaining contents. The method of recycling must be adapted to the types of materials specified in the product parameters – the glass part should usually be placed in the glass recycling container and the plastic components (spray pump, dip tube) in the appropriate separated waste according to local rules. By separating the individual parts according to material, you support more efficient processing in the recycling process and reduce the amount of mixed waste.
