Glass bottle, transparent, with black cap, 15 ml is a complete set of a small glass bottle and a plain plastic cap. The transparent glass lets you see the contents, making it suitable where the colour and clarity of the product are part of its presentation – for facial serums, facial and body oils, essential oil blends in a carrier oil, perfume oils or concentrates. The small volume also makes it a practical packaging for samples and test batches that are filled in small quantities during formula development.

The cap screws on easily and seals the bottle. The contents are dispensed by direct pouring or measuring. The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products.

Practical use

The set is intended primarily for oil-based and anhydrous products: oil-based facial serums, cuticle oils, beard oils, perfume oils, essential oil blends, massage concentrates or liquid highlighters. It works equally well for aqueous and alcoholic contents – tinctures, concentrated facial tonics or solutions of active ingredients – as neither the glass nor the cap reacts with alcohol. When using aqueous products, bear in mind that the packaging does not replace preservation. The aqueous phase must be preserved regardless of the bottle type.

The plain cap does not regulate dispensing. The product is poured from the bottle or removed directly, which suits oils and concentrates where the customer takes a few drops into the palm. If dosing needs to be precise by drop or by spray, use other closures with the same neck type 18/410. Nominal and total volume

Two volume values are stated for packaging, and it is useful to distinguish between them. Nominal volume is the quantity for which the bottle is intended under normal filling conditions – for this set it is stated in the name. Total volume to the brim is the physical volume up to the neck and is always slightly larger. The difference between them forms the allowance required by the cap, or by a dropper or spray, as well as space for the contents to expand with a change in temperature. The bottle is therefore filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. Overfilling risks the contents overflowing through the neck when the cap is screwed on, or pressing on the cap when heated. The precise values of both volumes are stated in the product parameters.

Good to know

Preparation before filling. Before first use, we recommend washing new bottles and caps in warm water with a mild detergent, rinsing, disinfecting with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and leaving to dry completely. Residual water in an oil-based or anhydrous product is an unnecessary risk of microbial contamination.

Glass and heat. The bottle can withstand filling with a lukewarm product, but do not pour hot material directly from a heat source or water bath. A sudden change in temperature can damage the glass. Allow the product to cool to at least room temperature or slightly above.

Cap and essential oils. The cap is made of polypropylene, which is resistant to most cosmetic oils and alcohol. With highly concentrated essential oils or solvents, we recommend verifying the long-term compatibility of the cap with a sample, as with any plastic component.

Labelling. The bottle has a relatively small cylindrical surface for a label. The label should not extend onto the curve towards the neck, otherwise it will peel off.

Recycling. Glass goes in glass recycling, the plastic cap in plastics. Simply take the set apart before disposing.
