GlucodOX® (Guggul in MCT oil) is a natural CO₂-to extract from the resin of the Commiphora mukul tree, also known as guggul. It is obtained by supercritical extraction of carbon dioxide with a small amount of ethanol, using MCT oil from coconut origin as the carrier. This process preserves all of the resin's active ingredients, including guggulsterones and guggulsterols - bioactive compounds with significant regenerative and antioxidant effects. The extract has a yellow-brown colour, is clear to slightly cloudy and has a delicate, typically balsamic aroma. It is standardised to contain 1,9-2,1 % guggulsterones (HPLC analysis) and more than 2,5 % guggulsterols. GlucodOX® is an extract from the resin of Commiphora mukul, known as guggul, traditionally used in Ayurveda. It is obtained by supercritical CO₂ extraction and contains naturally occurring guggulsterones with a regenerative effect on the skin.
MCT oil serves as a carrier that improves the stability and application of the extract. It ensures its even dispersion in formulations and promotes the absorption of the active ingredients into the skin.
Guggul extract has anti-inflammatory, regenerative and antioxidant properties. It helps reduce wrinkles, strengthens skin tissue and improves skin elasticity. It is suitable for mature, dry and sensitive skin.
CO₂-to stands for total extract - a complete CO₂ extract that contains a full spectrum of bioactive substances including resins, waxes and lipids. This type of extract is more nutritious and concentrated than "selective" (CO₂-se) extracts, which contain only volatile components.
