Chamomile CO₂-to extract is a pure natural extract obtained by supercritical carbon dioxide extraction from the dried flowers of Chamomilla recutita (true chamomile). It is a CO₂-to (total extract) - a complete extract that contains the full spectrum of the plant's lipophilic constituents, including essential oil, waxes and fats. The extract is greenish-brown in colour, thick to semi-liquid at room temperature and has a typical, slightly sweet chamomile aroma. The extract contains 10-20% essential oil, mainly alpha-bisabolol, bisabololoxides, farnesene, chamazulene and matricin. These substances have strong anti-inflammatory, regenerative and antiseptic effects.
It is ideal for sensitive, dry, irritated or children's skin. It relieves redness, itching and promotes skin regeneration.
CO₂-to stands for total extract - a complete CO₂ extract that contains the full spectrum of the plant's active ingredients, including volatile, resinous and fatty components. It is more concentrated and stable than "selective" (CO₂-se) extracts, which contain only volatile aromatic components.
Chamomile CO₂ extract has strong anti-inflammatory and soothing effects, helping to regenerate irritated skin, improving its elasticity and contributing to its health. It is often used in products for sensitive or children's skin.
