The bottle can be reused if basic hygiene rules are observed and the material is suitable for your formulation. Before each new filling, it is necessary to thoroughly wash, clean and then disinfect the packaging – ideally using isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % (ALK001) or denatured ethanol Ethanol 96 % (ALK002). After complete drying, the bottle can be refilled. At the same time, it is important to continuously check the condition of the plastic and the functionality of the spray pump and, in case of obvious wear, remove the packaging from use.

Before refilling, we recommend first rinsing both the bottle and the spray pump with warm (not boiling) water with a mild cleaning agent and rinsing them thoroughly with clean water. Then disinfect the inner surface of the packaging, the neck and the dip tube using a suitable alcohol, for example IPA 99 % or Ethanol 96 %. It is advisable to "spray through" the spray pump several times with the disinfectant solution so that the internal mechanism is also cleaned. After disinfection, leave all parts to dry completely at room temperature.

PET plastic is not intended to be exposed to high temperatures. In contact with hot water, during boiling or washing in a dishwasher, there is a risk of deformation of the packaging and deterioration of its mechanical properties. Therefore, it is not recommended to boil the bottle or wash it in a dishwasher. For cleaning, rather choose lukewarm to moderately warm water and subsequent disinfection with alcohol, in order to maintain shape stability and functionality of the spray pump.

If you decide not to use the bottle further, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste sorting rules according to the type of plastic stated in the product parameters. Before disposal, it is advisable to empty the packaging, remove any product residues and clean the packaging of impurities. The PET container itself usually belongs in the container designated for plastic waste, the spray pump may consist of several types of plastics – in case of doubt, follow the local recommendations for sorting or combine ecological recovery with energy recovery of waste in the municipal system.

The spray pump is optimal for low-viscosity, liquid products based on water or hydroalcoholic solutions, where fine and even distribution is required – for example facial and body sprays, hydrolates, hair tonics, air fresheners or light cleaning solutions. For thicker emulsions or oils, spraying may be limited, therefore it is always recommended to carry out your own dosing test with the specific formulation and, if necessary, consider another type of closure or dispenser.
