It is not advisable to expose PET material to high temperatures; in case of excessive heating, there is a risk of deformation of the packaging, therefore do not wash the bottle in a dishwasher and do not boil it.

Is it possible to use this plastic bottle with spray pump repeatedly?

Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly, provided the spray pump remains functional, always under strict hygiene rules. Before each new filling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the bottle and the spray pump and then disinfecting them with a suitable alcohol solution, for example using the products IPA 99 % or ethanol 96 % available on Handymade. After the disinfectant has dried naturally, you can refill the packaging. This procedure will reduce the risk of microbial contamination of the new product.

How to properly clean and disinfect the packaging before refilling?

First remove the remnants of the original product by rinsing the bottle with an appropriate amount of water or a suitable cleaning solution according to the type of contents. Then we recommend applying an alcohol-based disinfectant – practical, for example, are the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured vegetable, which you can find on the Handymade website in the raw materials section. Allow the disinfectant to act and then let the bottle and the spray pump dry freely at room temperature. Only after the packaging is completely dry is it suitable to proceed with refilling, in order to minimize the risk of compromising the stability of the formulation.

Is the PET plastic of this bottle resistant to high temperatures or sterilization by boiling?

The bottle is made of PET material, which is not intended to be exposed to high temperatures or for heat sterilization. Contact with hot water, boiling or washing in a dishwasher may lead to deformation of the packaging, deterioration of tightness or limitation of the spray pump function. For this reason, we recommend using only cleaning with lukewarm water and chemical disinfection with alcohol. In this way, you will maintain the shape stability of the bottle and the reliable functioning of the spray pump throughout the entire period of use.

How to safely dispose of and recycle this PET bottle if I do not want to use it further?

If you decide not to use the packaging any further, we recommend sorting it into separated waste according to the type of material specified in the product parameters.
