The aluminium jar with lid is a practical, lightweight and durable container designed for filling creamy, loose and solid products. The smooth metal surface looks professional and elegant, making the jar suitable for artisanal as well as small-scale production of cosmetics or complementary product ranges. The precise fit of the lid helps protect the contents from contamination from the external environment and reduces the risk of unwanted leakage during storage and transport.
This metal packaging is suitable for packing products that are more sensitive to air and mechanical stress, while offering good protection of the contents under normal use. Thanks to its compact shape, the jar fits comfortably into a handbag, cosmetic bag or travel kit and is also suitable for gift sets or limited product editions.
This jar is supplied as a finished container together with a lid, so it does not require any additional types of dispensers. The combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
If you decide not to reuse the jar, we recommend recycling it properly according to the material type indicated in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website. By placing the packaging in the appropriate separate collection stream, you facilitate its further processing and reduce the amount of waste.
An aluminium jar is commonly used for packaging oily balms, butters and wax blends. Before final implementation in production, we recommend testing your specific formulation (especially with a higher content of essential oils or active substances) to verify the behaviour of the packaging in long-term contact with the product and under different temperature conditions.
The jar can be reused if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. In this way you reduce the risk of microbial contamination and extend the service life of the packaging.
If you do not plan to reuse the jar, we recommend first emptying it and removing any product residues. Then recycle it according to the recommendation indicated for the product in the parameter table on Handymade, where the material type and appropriate sorting method are specified. This ensures that the packaging is correctly assigned to collection and can be further used as a material resource.
When filling with warm blends (for example balms or waxes), it is advisable to work within the temperature range recommended for your formulation and to avoid unnecessarily high temperatures. An overly hot product may affect the surface finish of the packaging or the properties of the sealing element in the lid. After filling, allow the product to cool down in the jar at rest, without rapid cooling, in order to minimise the risk of condensation and deformation of the product surface.
The easiest way is to use the advanced filter in the packaging categories. After clicking on the selected category, a filtering panel will appear at the top of the page, where you can adjust your selection according to parameters such as neck type, size, colour or material. This will allow you to quickly find a suitable bottle, jar or other container for your specific formulation and dosing method.
