Do you also love that feeling when you lie down in a bathtub full of hot water, a book in your hand, ideally also a glass of champagne :), and you are the only one in the room, completely alone... So why not combine the pleasant with the useful and treat yourself not only to relaxation for your soul, but at the same time also for your skin. :)
Oil truffles are an excellent alternative to bath oil, because they combine several great butters and oils in one product and make use of the very best of them for your skin. The skin soaks them up beautifully and after the bath you do not need to apply a cream. Simply toss one truffle into the hot water and enjoy the relaxation. Ivet will share with you the procedure for how to make such truffles at home easily and simply.
To make bath truffles we need:
65g cocoa butter unrefined25g shea butter12g apricot oil10–15 drops of eucalyptus essential oil or your favourite fragranceProcedure: 1. Weigh the cocoa butter and shea butter into a bowl and melt them in the microwave or in a water bath.
2. Add the apricot oil and mix3. Pour into a silicone mould – preferably small ice cube moulds – and leave to set in the refrigerator.
4. Remove from the mould and store in a cooler place.Cocoa butter has a high content of vitamin E and natural antioxidants. It softens dry skin and helps maintain its natural moisture. It is easily absorbed. It heals burns, eczema and dermatitis, minimises wrinkles and also pregnancy stretch marks. Eucalyptus essential oil supports concentration and has a beneficial effect in cases of migraine. It has antibacterial, calming, healing and stimulating effects.
