The plastic bandana cap is a practical closure designed to securely and cleanly close canisters and bandanas during storage and handling. Thanks to the tight thread, it helps to minimize the risk of spontaneous release and leakage of the contents, which will be appreciated when working with liquid mixtures, technical solutions and cosmetic raw materials. The closure is designed to promote a reliable seal and comfortable repeated opening and closing during normal use.

Applications

  • Technical and working solutions: closure of canisters with cleaning concentrates, solvents and service fluids (always after checking compatibility with the specific substance).
  • Cosmetic raw materials in larger packages: safe closure of the canister when storing bases, hydrolates, macerates or mixtures for further processing.
  • Transport and storage: suitable for internal transfer of contents and protection against unwanted spillage during normal handling.

Packaging advantages

  • HDPE material: durable plastic suitable for robust closures, stable under normal conditions of storage and use.
  • Good mechanical durability: the closure is designed for repeated use and normal handling loads.
  • Protection of contents: tight closure helps protect contents from contaminants and reduces the risk of leakage during transfer.

Combining with caps and dispensers

This cap is designed to be combined with selected flasks/canisters with matching thread according to product parameters. The combinations of packaging and caps, which are created directly at Handymade, are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend to perform your own compatibility test (sealing, dispensing and packaging behaviour in contact with the specific formulation).

Technical parameters

All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Is this closure suitable for repeated use?

Yes, the closure is reusable as long as hygiene guidelines are followed. Before each refill, we recommend that the cap (and the neck of the container) is thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable product such as IPA 99% (ALK001) or ethanol 96% (ALK002), and allowed to dry completely.

How do I verify that the cap will seal with my packaging?

When making your selection, be guided by the product parameters (especially the thread/throat type). We recommend doing a short test with real contents: fill the packaging, close, turn several times and check the seal even after standing. For specific mixtures (e.g. with higher solvent content) always check the compatibility of the material with the formulation.

Is the closure also suitable for products with intense fragrances or volatile substances?

For aromatic and volatile substances, we recommend considering not only the thread seal but also the overall compatibility of the material with the contents. For mixtures with a high proportion of essential oils or solvents, it is always advisable to do a self-test (odour, softening of the material, changes in tightness) before long-term storage.

How do I safely dispose of and recycle a cap if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the cap, we recommend emptying it of product residue, rinsing it and allowing it to dry. As it is a plastic material (HDPE), it usually belongs in your municipality's sorted plastics collection policy. If the cap is part of a container made of another material, it is ideal to sort the parts separately.

You have a lot of packaging on offer - how do I find the right one for my product?

We recommend using the advanced filter, which can be found at the top of the page by clicking on a specific category. In the filter, you can select by important parameters such as neck, size, colour and material to quickly find a compatible packaging or closure.
