Product description

During the production of rosemary essential oil, depending on climatic conditions or origin, three types of essential oils can be obtained, depending on which chemotype predominates in it. We therefore distinguish the chemotype ct camphor, ct verbenone, ct cineole.

*     Ct cineole is the classic chemotype with excellent efficacy particularly for clearing the respiratory tract.

*     The chemotype cf camphor has a fresh, strong, herbal aroma that has antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and also analgesic effects. It stimulates the central nervous system and helps to calm both body and mind.

*     Ct verbenone is characterised by a gentler, floral rosemary scent.

Rosemary essential oil ct verbenone is a popular component of cosmetics and aromatherapy because of its fresh, clean and herbal to woody scent. You will appreciate it for its antiseptic, antimicrobial and antioxidant properties. In addition, it has astringent effects, which reduces the appearance of enlarged pores and it combines well with a wide range of other essential oils. Try it also as a component of cleaning products or for repelling insects.

Rosemary essential oil ct verbenone is oil-soluble; add it to products only during the cooling phase. Do not apply undiluted oil to the skin; add it to a carrier oil before application. You can use it in all products containing an oil phase, such as creams, or shampoos and hair balms, body balms and massage oils.

The maximum recommended dosage for individual product types can be found, for example, in the IFRA standards; the dosage usually ranges up to 1 %.

All supplied raw materials are of cosmetic grade, not suitable for internal use. Use appropriate protective equipment when handling.

WHAT ARE ESSENTIAL OILS?

Essential oils, also called ethereal oils, are natural aromatic substances that come from various parts of plants – stems, roots, seeds, flowers, leaves, etc. They give plants their characteristic fragrance and, in addition, they also have healing and protective effects. They act very positively on symptoms on the physical, emotional and mental level.

Their chemical composition is fairly complex. Essential oils are most often obtained from plants by distillation, extraction or pressing. Essential oils are highly concentrated and are used directly on the skin only after dilution with carrier vegetable oils (almond, apricot, jojoba, etc.). The only exceptions are tea tree and lavender essential oil, which you can apply directly.

Use essential oils for inhalation or in your cosmetic products; we do not recommend ingesting any essential oils of any brands.

Essential oils are fat-soluble, therefore if you want to use them in products without oils and butters, use a solvent /solubiliser/.

HOW DO I USE ESSENTIAL OIL?

Making cosmetics and soaps – the required amount of essential oil depends on the specific formula and batch size.
Inhalation, steaming – drip a few drops of essential oil into an aroma lamp, diffuser, or a container of hot water.
Bath – mix the drops of oil in a base oil /coconut, olive.../, in 1 dl of milk or in a teaspoon of honey, and pour this mixture into the bath. Pure essential oils are not water-soluble, the drops would float on the surface.
Massage – add a few drops of essential oil to cold-pressed vegetable oil (approx. 50 ml) and mix well. Enjoy a pleasant massage.
Sauna – you can choose from conifers, rosemary, eucalyptus, sage, mint or citrus scents. The number of drops depends on the size of the sauna and your preference.

Essential oils are also widely used in skin care, local compresses, hair masks, oral care...
