Product description

Damask rose essential oil is among the very rare and valuable essential oils. It is produced by steam distillation of rose petals, which must be processed immediately after harvesting. The rarity of this oil is connected with the fact that the petals contain only a small amount of essences; from 50 kg of rose flowers, only 7.5 ml of essential oil is produced. This essential oil contains only 10% pure Damask rose essential oil and is supplemented with a carrier almond oil.

Damask rose provides an essential oil with a characteristic rose fragrance. This oil is used in everyday skin care, it helps improve skin tone, hydrate the skin evenly and minimize the appearance of skin imperfections. The scent of Damask rose essential oil has relaxing and soothing properties, it helps relieve menstrual pain.

Essential oils may have an irritating effect on sensitive skin; in case of irritation, do not continue to use the product. Avoid application in the eye area. Essential oils are pure and are very easily absorbed into the skin. They are fat-soluble.

All supplied raw materials are of cosmetic grade, unsuitable for internal use. When handling, use appropriate protective equipment.

Do you know what the shelf life of essential oils is, how to store them correctly, or which essential oils to combine? You can read everything about essential oils on our blog.

WHAT ARE ESSENTIAL OILS?

Essential oils, also called ethereal oils, are natural aromatic substances that come from various parts of plants – stems, roots, seeds, flowers, leaves, etc. They give plants their characteristic scent and, in addition, they also have healing and protective effects. They have a very positive effect on symptoms on the physical, emotional and mental levels.

Their chemical composition is quite complex. Essential oils are obtained from plants most often by distillation, extraction or pressing. Essential oils are highly concentrated and are used directly on the skin only after dilution with carrier vegetable oils (almond, apricot, jojoba, etc.). The only exceptions are tea tree and lavender essential oils, which you can apply directly.

Use essential oils for inhalation or in your cosmetic products; we do not recommend the consumption of any essential oils of any brands.

Essential oils are fat-soluble, therefore if you want to use them in products that do not contain oils and butters, use a solvent /solubilizer/.

HOW WILL I USE THE ESSENTIAL OIL?

Production of cosmetics and soaps – the required amount of essential oil depends on the specific recipe and the quantity produced.
Inhalation, steaming – drop a few drops of essential oil into an aroma lamp, diffuser or into a container with hot water.
Bath – mix the drops of oil in a base oil /coconut, olive.../, in 1 dl of milk or in a teaspoon of honey, pour this mixture into the bathtub. Pure essential oils are insoluble in water, the drops would float on the surface.
Massage – add a few drops of essential oil to a cold-pressed vegetable oil (approx. 50 ml) and mix well. Enjoy a pleasant massage.
Sauna – you can choose from conifers, rosemary, eucalyptus, sage, mint or citrus scents. The number of drops depends on the size of the sauna and your taste.

Essential oils are also commonly used in skin care, local compresses, hair masks, in oral hygiene care...
