Essential oil from the peel of red mandarin (Citrus nobilis) comes from the USA and offers an intense, fresh, citrus scent. Green mandarin is known for its calming properties on the nervous system and its ability to support healthy digestive, immune and respiratory functions. It offers an uplifting effect and a great addition to many blends for health, cleansing and mood enhancement.

Essential oil, red mandarin belongs to the Rutaceae family. It is classified as a top note and blends well with camphoraceous, citrus, herbal, floral, spicy and woody oils. The essential oil from this mandarin has strong antiseptic properties that can, for example, help also with an itchy scalp. It can also help relieve nausea and relax the muscles.

WHAT ARE ESSENTIAL OILS?

Use essential oils for inhalation or in your cosmetic products; we do not recommend the ingestion of any essential oils of any brands.

Essential oils, also called ethereal oils, are natural aromatic substances that come from various parts of plants – stems, roots, seeds, flowers, leaves, etc. They give plants their characteristic fragrance and, in addition, have protective effects. Their chemical composition is fairly complex. Essential oils are obtained from plants most often by distillation, extraction or pressing. Essential oils are highly concentrated and are applied directly to the skin only after dilution with carrier vegetable oils (almond, apricot, jojoba, etc.). The only exceptions are tea tree essential oil and lavender, which you can apply directly.

Essential oils are fat-soluble, therefore if you want to use them in products that do not contain oils and butters, use a solvent / solubiliser.
