Product description

The essential oil of narrow-leaved lavender, also known as medicinal lavender, is one of the most versatile and at the same time most commonly used essential oils, suitable for adults and children. It has a sweet, spicy, gently floral lavender scent.

It is obtained from the flowers of the plant Lavandula angustifolia L. in combination with other lavender varieties. The ester content is maintained at 40 - 42 % thanks to linalyl acetate.

Lavender essential oil helps with mental fatigue, and has a calming effect on the whole organism. It relieves pain in muscles and cramps, lowers blood pressure and also has a positive effect on migraines. It is also used for menstrual disorders, insomnia, as a disinfectant, for insect bites, etc. It is also very effective in fighting yeast infections – candidiasis – caused by the yeast Candida albicans.

All supplied raw materials are of cosmetic grade, unsuitable for internal use. When handling, use appropriate protective equipment.

WHAT ARE ESSENTIAL OILS?

Essential oils, also called ethereal oils, are natural aromatic substances that come from various parts of plants – trunks, roots, seeds, flowers, leaves, etc. They give plants their characteristic fragrance and, in addition, also have healing and protective effects. They have a very positive effect on symptoms on the physical, emotional or mental level.

Their chemical composition is quite complex. Essential oils are obtained from plants most often by distillation, extraction or pressing. Essential oils are highly concentrated and are used directly on the skin only after dilution with carrier vegetable oils (almond, apricot, jojoba, etc.). The only exceptions are tea tree and lavender essential oils, which you can apply directly.

Use essential oils for inhalation or in your cosmetic products; we do not recommend the ingestion of any essential oils of any brands.

Essential oils are fat-soluble, therefore if you want to use them in products without oils and butters, use a solvent /solubilizer/.

HOW WILL I USE THE ESSENTIAL OIL?

Production of cosmetics and soaps – the required amount of essential oil depends on the specific recipe and the amount produced.
Inhalation, steaming – drip a few drops of essential oil into an aroma lamp, diffuser, or a container with hot water.
Bath – mix the drops of oil into a base oil /coconut, olive.../, in 1 dl of milk or in a teaspoon of honey, pour this mixture into the bathtub. Essential oils themselves are insoluble in water; the drops would float on the surface.
Massage – add a few drops of essential oil to cold-pressed vegetable oil (approx. 50 ml) and mix well. Enjoy a pleasant massage.
Sauna – you can choose from conifers, rosemary, eucalyptus, sage, mint or citrus fragrances. The amount of drops depends on the size of the sauna and your taste.

Essential oils are also popularly used in skin care, local compresses, hair masks, oral hygiene care...
