Peppermint CO₂-se extract is a pure selection of Mentha piperita (peppermint) leaf extract, obtained by supercritical carbon dioxide extraction without the use of chemical solvents. This process preserves the fresh aroma and bioactive substances of mint leaves in their natural form. It is a CO₂-se (selective extract) - a selective extract that contains mainly volatile aromatic components such as menthol, menthone, menthyl acetate and menthofuran, making it similar to essential oil, but more stable and pure. It is yellow to light brown in colour, clear and has a distinct, cooling menthol fragrance with a subtle herbal undertone.
